Waterfalls of the Blue Ridge: A Hiking Guide to the Cascades of the Blue Ridge Mountains

This was very useful on our recent trip. It describes the location in specific terms and the difficulty of the hike to each waterfall. Be aware that many of the mile markers on the parkway are missing, so use your odometer.

Haven't had a chance to utilize this book yet but is packed with nice info to beautiful and amazing places.

I actually have every edition of this book from the first and have used them on every trip I make to Shenandoah and the Blue Ridge Parkway. This edition has been updated with the assistance of regional expert Johnny Molloy and the addition of several new waterfalls. The write-ups tell you what to expect along the trail, and the directions to the trailheads or roadside pull-outs are clear and easy to follow. If waterfalls are your passion, you can't find a better spot in the East than the Southern Appalachians or a better overall guide than this one.

I am absolutely loving this book! I’m working my way down the Blue Ridge Parkway, seeing all the waterfalls. What an extraordinary thing to do. This book is highly useful.

If you are using this for the Great Smoky Mountains and Cherokee like I am, look elsewhere. There are only about 7 of 216 pages dedicated to this area.

Great book to prepare for next adventure

Great guide for helping you find all the waterfalls. Only stopped to see a few but will definitely be going back for a longer adventure!
