Thank you Beth.
My wife and I have had 45 wonderful years together with 2 lovely daughters, and now they live next door with their own families. I enjoyed reading every word of this great book. You are so inspirational. Thank you Beth.

Funny and real
This book was just what I needed to read after our youngest moved into his own place. Funny, relevant, sincere and heartfelt. And very honest. Thank you Beth Moore!

TOUCHING STORIES MAKE YOU THINK
I love Beth Moore. I enjoy her style, which can be wordy and fun. Life is short, Beth enjoys hers and I love to hear people who are both deep and can also be lighthearted. Beth is kind of crazy about her family and about Jesus. I share those passions (only I'm crazy about my family, not hers) and I can relate to her stories.Women can use a dose of mentoring from an older (not that she's old) woman who has been there. We need to hear about being devoted Christians, wives and mothers. We need to hear about how there are ups and down in every woman's life and how you can come through them stronger. While respecting the privacy of her loved ones, she does share many stories that we can all relate to, and she doesn't pretend everything has always been perfect - far from it.Beth is very real about her life, she shares thoughts that many wouldn't. We should all be so kind. It is really helpful to hear. Of course, she is Beth Moore so there is plenty that points back to the goodness of God.

Good One Beth!
I think this is my second Beth Moore book - I lost count! I love how Beth writes, simple, honest and spot on. Her candor and humor is what every mother needs because parenting is a difficult journey. Having an empty nest is an achievement for all mothers, yet it is often laced with poignant sadness and "what-could- I-have-done-differently" moments. The moment you become a Mom, your life changes. So when the kids are gone, do you revert back to being just you? Then, you realize that you will never stop being a mother even when the nest is empty. That's the bigger challenge - and the author reminds everyone that there is life after the kids are gone. No regrets. You have done your best and God will reward you with peace, acceptance and more love than your heart can contain.

It spoke to me!
The life she describes sounds so familiar! I see my children and husband in some of her stories. I cried and laughed and thanked God for her courage to share. Thank your family too. 💜

Wish I would have read it 20 years ago
I love the mentoring type messages that are useful for my own family at least I can still apply to teaching my grandchildren. I love being able to relate to so many situations and not feeling like I struggled alone. I appreciate Beth’s ability to disciple her readers with God’s Word in such an understandable way. I like that I feel like I could enjoy a cup of coffee and chat with Beth because of her humbleness and she doesn’t act like she’s a celebrity with life all figured out. Would recommend this book to any woman and mother.

a reality check family story
Beth Moore and her family have willingly shared their own tears and laughter, struggles and gains to allow us to see how much God's love is a part of their journey, individually and as a family. The analogy of the mama and papa sparrow fit so beautifully into the telling of moments of sheer joy and those of sorrow and anxiety. I could relate to the "looking back", once our children left for college and then marrying and starting to be a family in their own right. I still worry over "mistakes" we made, but Beth assures us that it is not God who gives us those fears.I recommend this book for moms, dads and, yes, grandmas and grandpas, too. Be prepared to experience some encouraging smiles (and keep the tissues handy).

Just a little disappointed.
I love this book, and ordered this copy to give to a friend. It was a little disappointing that, though new, it arrived with damage to the bottom of the front cover.
