I like the way the author presents his information but there aren't enough sites presented for it to be really useful

This little book was very good. It gives GPS info and map pictures to help you find the spot. The pictures in the book are black and white but if you turn to the back you can view the same pictures in color. I, myself need to see the color pictures to help me know what to look for. Many books are only in black and white and that bothers me. So, with the color pictures, good directions and short to the point info, I really liked this book. If you are going to North Carolina looking for rocks then buy this book !

Great book. We have numerous books on rockhounding but this one is very detailed and full of information that will come in handy when we go on our three week trip around NC to get down and dirty. Thanks for a great product.

This is an older book, but it at least includes color photos in the back that you can use to help identify your finds. Some of the information in the book is incorrect or outdated, particularly as pertains to the mines, but the book still has some limited usefulness.

This book gives u a lil help with useful maps for each mining site. Kids are already trying to pick spots to go on this years summer vacation trip.

A great book. I bought it for my nephew but his mother was also fascinated by it. They are planning an adventure together.

Don't like pay sites, but the others are useful
