Does this coat have a lining? Insulation?  Suitable for cold weather wear?

I wouldn't consider it a coat, but definitely has some weight to it.  Light lining suitable for chilly weather, but maybe not really cold weather, other than what protection leather naturally provides.  I got this for my husband for Christmas and he loves it!

I've been getting mixed information on this product, is this REAL leather or is this Faux Leather?

I recently bought a similar coast from a different company (off Amazon, called USA Jackets) who claimed their coat was real leather. The coat was not sewed correctly, and was definitely Polyurethane (PU synthetic leather) even though I paid the extra money for the real leather option, and ended up having to file a PayPal claim.  I suspected it wasn’t real leather, but took the coat to a local fine leather coats and accessories maker. He taught me that a buyer is just not going to find a real, genuine, 100% animal hide leather coat of this length at this price.  He even showed me some items he had for sale that were synthetic, and compared them to his real leather items. How to tell: 1). Real leather does not stretch and snap back into shape. 2). If you look at the back side of the “leather” material by opening the lining in an inconspicuous place you will find that it has a woven texture to it. He said the coat I received was a man-made, woven material to which a coating had been applied to make it smell and look more like real leather. So, all that being said, it doesn’t mean that this coat is not well made, or isn’t worth this price. BUT, this IS synthetic leather. It may be a nice quality, but make no mistakes that it is synthetic.

Is this jacket waterproof?

I have worn the coat in light rain.  I would say it is water "resistant ".  I cannot give a definite answer that it is water proof.  If you have the time and patience, I would suggest using saddle soap to preserve and protect the leather and perhaps lend some water protection.  I believe you can have your coat treated to waterproof it.  As for myself, I have found my coat to be quit comfortable and have received many compliments.  Works for me...

Could anyone tell me if this jacket has inside pockets an how many? Thank You, William

It does have two inside pockets.  This jacket runs small.  My husband wears extra large, but as reviewers suggested I ordered extra extra large and the fit is perfect.
