works great but didn't like the price increase...

I have very dry eyes. My eye doc told me to use it. I like it, it helps my dry eyes. I use it twice a day and occasionally three times per day. It's a good product. I squeeze the bottle, aim for the eye and a drop falls in. I don't have an issue with drops being wasted like some folks claim. Just gently squeeze the bottle and you will get one drop. So far it has helped my dry eyes feel better. The only complaint I have is the price. It's too expensive for such a small bottle. This size bottle should have cost about $20 dollars. I guess the manufacturer is interested in profit since months ago a bottle twice this size of this one only cost $25 dollars. If it wasn't so expensive I would be using it more often, but instead I use a different brand which is an awesome product and only costs $20.00 for a pack of two 10ml bottles.

New bottle: Found lid glued to the bottle by solidified contents. Finally got it opened. Bottle stayed compressed, indicating that the bottle was almost empty. Due date was 6/24, an under 4-month due date, and that is short. Obviously, this FreshKote sat in a hot warehouse for a long time. It should have been discarded, not sold. This is eye drops.

I have depended on FreshKote for many years. I moved from other topicals to FreshKote, long ago, after learning about the chemistry and physics principles behind its development. For much of my long history with dry eye, I have been able to eliminate the pain, sensitivity, and other effects of my tear film and ocular surface disorder via steady use of FreshKote. This drop is not just a palliative; It is, in my experience, a powerful therapeutic for dry eye across a range of different etiologies. With extended use, this high oncotic pressure drop does not simply "lubricate" the eye surface with a moisturizing agent -- it uses oncotic pressure to enable dessicated corneas actually to wet properly as tears and oils are supplied with each blink. Over time, the restoration of proper wetting helps to protect and even heal corneas stressed by chronic dry eye. At times, I have needed therapeutics beyond FreshKote, but I would never choose to replace FreshKote's key role in my care regimen. Others providing reviews here have reported difficulty using FreshKote's preservative-free dispensing system, but I was able quickly to master the system by calling its manufacturer's customer service line and receiving some great tips. The way to instill one small drop at a time is to avoid holding the container vertically over the eye and also avoid pressing too long and hard on the dropper bottle. Simply tilt the dropper bottle to an approximately 45-degree angle while bringing it over the eye, and then give the bottle a very quick and firm squeeze. A tiny drop should then emerge from the blue dispensing tip and fall right into the pocket we usually form by pulling our lower eyelid down and out a bit. Also remember to use gentle lid cleansing to remove any of the precipitate (light crust) that FreshKote sometimes leaves on the lashes. I recommend giving FreshKote a good college try (for 6 months or more) before judging it. Its benefits get better and better over time. And get your eye doctor to monitor your progress with FreshKote. Look for improvements in tear film break-up time and corneal integrity. Many users will not be disappointed with the results.

My eye doc said I have early Fuch's Dystrophy and recommended these drops 2x a day. I can't say if they've helped because I haven't been back to see him yet.... but I will say they leave my eyelashes all clumpy and crusted. I don't love it

I'm new to this product so I cannot speak to the prior formula or ease of the prior bottle construction. However, my opthamalogist recommended these for my extremely dry eyes. The fact that they are preservative free is an additional plus because I have extreme sensitivity and allergies. In addition to plugs in my lower tear duct drains, for decades I'd been using Refresh multiple times per day and about a year ago started using Refresh Optive (I tried the "Advanced" but the additional ingredient irritated my eyes).In short - this preservative-free FreshKote is a game changer for me!!! I only need it once a day and that is unprecedented in my 68 years of life!!Yes -- the bottle is a bit odd -- but it's because the solution is preservative-free and meant to keep the yet-unused medication sterile. I find if I position it properly over my eye and then gently squeeze it, I get either 1 or 2 drops without issue. And I have shaky hands ... not terribly difficult.I highly recommend it!!

Have used the product for years, haven't found one better!
