Decent gaiter for orienteering but don't lace through the eyelets
I bought these for use in orienteering at running speed. I'm 6' tall and 160lbs. Skinny by American standards; a runner's build. I tried the Medium sized ones first, they were way too tight and half an inch short. The Large size fits me well (surprisingly a tiny bit tight given my skinny legs). I've worn these in 6 races now. My races are 3-5 miles in all sorts of midwestern wooded, thorny, rocky terrain. The front side is tough nylon and has held up very well. They've protected my skin from a few knocks on logs, scrapes on rocks and the occasional old wire fence. I still get a bruise on the bad knocks, but my clothing and skin are not torn. I haven't had any sticky/thorny plant life stay on the nylon front. The back side of the gaiter is spandex. It is not as durable, but it breathes nicely. The spandex has some scrapes and tears and does collect some sticky/thorny plant life. The zipper has given me no problems; I recommend starting the zipper about an inch along before sliding on the gaiters.First, let me say kudos to Moxie Gear and Amazon for providing this product. It's tough to find such gaiters in the USA. And to have them available via Prime shipping is great. The one downside to this product are the two eyelets at the bottom. They could be used to put your laces through in order to hold the gaiters in place. But the first pair of gaiters I received, the eyelets were already tearing away from the nylon. Amazon/Moxie took the return and sent me new ones. I did tie my shoelaces through the eyelets for one race, the result was that one of the eyelets was half-way torn out of its nylon. So, I don't tie shoelaces through the eyelets anymore. I use the Moxie Ankle Gaiters, too, so that's what keeps debris out of my shoes.

Not durable, ripped on first use. Save your $.
Disliked: that I got a huge rip in a vertical seam on my first ever use. Very poor quality of materials and poor durability. Cost is very high given the poor quality.Liked: lightweight (at the expense of durability). Snug fit.
