Arthur's articles on Polygon were always among my favorites and I have always looked forward to his reviews and editorials so you can imagine how happy I was when I found out he was writing a book on the story of Gears of War from its very beginning to now! This is FILLED with so much information and it is laced with passion, both from Arthur and from the team that has worked on the series. There are quotes and information from current employees of The Coalition and past members that worked on the series too.The pictures, concept art, and everything in between -- This book is a must own for anyone interested in the development history of a game/franchise and/or Gears of War. This was much better than I expected in comparison to similar books for other game franchises. Great in depth writing on many aspects of GoW including game development, marketing, and how the plot came together. Lots of details on Epic and Microsoft's role. There are plenty of images of logo/branding prototypes. It even mentions or displays very obscure or niche aspects of Gears fandom, merch, and hardware. The book itself is also well made and has excellent binding. The pages are thick and the images look great.Highly recommend even if you are a casual Gears fan but like history on video games or the Xbox itself.

The book was delivered in wonderful condition and is an amazing addition to my collection. full of awesome information about the series as well as the struggles from the developers and releasing of the games.

Seeing how they started to where the games are now is definitely cool to see

this product 5 star at least , I gave it 3 stars because as you can see in the pictures ,,, what is my feeling now ?I did the preorder before about 9 months, and now there is no option for replace, return, refund !
