These work great for the rods I have that did not come with hook keepers. They are also good replacements for those broken or pesky wire hook keepers on some rods.July 25th 2022 update. I really like the concept, however the O rings seem to start cracking after a couple of weeks. This may also be the effects of the 90 degree heat we've had for the past week, I'm not sure. If you have these you should check the O rings often and replace them if needed so you do not loose the hook keeper. I had two rods setup with these keepers and both failed within a months time. So just be aware that the O rings may fail on you. Zip Ty's can also be used in place of the O rings without effecting the magnets function.

I have always typically used one of the line eyes to attach my hook to after fishing as my dad showed me growing up, but we constantly deal with broken eyes. With these hook keepers, I don't have to worry about that anymore and they are easy to attach to the pole.

The holder on one of my polls broke off and I purchased these. They work fine but the rubber o-rings will slid up if wet.

These are the biggest set that I've seen. I would guess that they're probably able to hold a 7/0 ,or 8/0 without much trouble. Unfortunately the orings are challenging and don't fit skinny composite rods. If the oring is too loose, the hook holder falls off and you will find your hook or lure sliding up the rod which loosens the line and let's the hook slip off and swing around

When you install them they slip forward on the taper of the rod. You're constantly arranging them and trying to keep them from moving. On top of all that the "O" ring fastener fails and falls by snapping off for no reason in a short time frame. Not worth the effort!

Excellent! These work great and make a life so much easier. So simple, I can’t believe I’ve gone without a hook keeper except on two Uber expensive rods.

For years I've used black monster tape and a bent paperclip, but decided to give this a try.The first one the rubber ring went flying and I couldn't find it.However, it works as advertised, and I would buy it again.

This is a clever product and it works as it's intended, but I wish that the surface that comes into contact with the rod were rubberized to increase friction...it tends to slide around just a little bit, especially whenever a hook or lure is fastened
