So much better than electrical tape
Electrical tape is good but after a while the engine bay heats up the tape and it comes loose and becomes sticky. This stuff holds well and provides a much cleaner look. I’ll have to buy more!

Works great - Just like factory.
Used this with some fiberglass heat resistant wire loom and it basically looks factory. It’s been a couple thousand miles and the tape and loom are holding up nicely this far.

Good for insulating pipes carrying hot water
Used the tape to wrap replacement wiring for wires that had caught on fire. Had some tape left over and decide to try it on 1 1/4" brass fittings in a system carrying 164 degree water. After wrapping about a foot, (ran out of tape), I was able to grip the piping without any discomfort. More tape is on the way so that the entire water system can be wrapped.

Thin and not sticky.
This is not the friction tape of old. Maybe it works somehow in an engine compartment in a way I can't imagine. I don't see how it could insulate electrically, unless you wrapped it many, many times around a wire or junction, and then it probably wouldn't stick. It is very thin fabric, almost like gauze, and the adhesive is worthless. Waste of money.

Helps protect wiring and keep everything neat and tidy
I bought this take for running a wire harness from the front of my truck to the tailgate. The harness is under the truck so it is exposed to the elements and has held up with no signs of degradation. The tape helped to keep the harness protected from abrasions and also to keep it in place. I used it to wrap with other factory wiring along the path instead of using zip ties as it keeps it looking just like from the factory. It has excellent adhesion and once on, it has not come off.I'll be buying more as needed but the one roll was more than enough for my little project.
