First furniture order I have ever placed on Amazon. Chose this item after scouring the local furniture stores for similar chairs and finding that most stores wanted around $800 starting for a decent quality chair. More than I want to pay for something like this frankly. Ordered on a Sunday evening and had chair by Thursday with free shipping. Outstanding fulfillment on Amazon's part, but that is pretty much expected these days.Initial impressions -1. Unpacking and assembly were fairly straight forward, with all the tools needed included as part of the package. I would strongly suggest torquing down on every connection bolt in the frames. A couple of those bolts were a little loose, which would undoubtedly result is excess wear and tear at the connection points if this isn't done. Took about an hour total to unpack and complete assembly. I went through it slowly and methodically, it could certainly be done much faster.2. Construction and materials are top-notch for this price point. Frankly better than expected. There were no loose stichting points or scratch marks and the Brown color, while very dark is, in my opinion much nicer than plain black.3. I am 5'9" and 230 lbs. Frankly, I don't think that I could be ANY bigger and have this chair fit me. When I first sat down in it, the impression of sitting on a tiny little school chair was sort of strange, especially with the back of the chair feeling almost too short. That impression quickly changed after a couple of minutes, and it became more like settling into a form fitted seat in a sports car. Very comfortable and supportive. I'm not sure that this would be the case if you are taller or wider than I am.4. I am only giving four stars at this point due to the swiveling base on the chair being largely made of plastic. Not sure how it will hold up over time, but if it turns out to be a problem, it looks like it can be removed pretty easily.5. Would recommend purchase - now we'll see how it holds up over time.

I've had this chair for a couple of months now. First, it arrived in that flimsy cardboard box from China. The item is made in China.It came with a very strong smell. I thought it would go away but it seemed to linger. I washed it with a very dilute solution of dish detergent but it did not have much effect. It has been a couple of months now and the odor has much dissipated but not completely.The cushioning is very cheap. The cushioning on the armrests sinks right through. You can rest your elbow on it and feel the wood underneath. But the worst part is the seat which sinks like a sink-hole right where your butt sits. It makes it very uncomfortable. There is very little support underneath.The fake leather, or whatever it is supposed to be, is very hot. When you sit sunk into the seat, it gets very uncomfortable. I saw one review titled proclaiming how great the support is and gave it 5 stars. This is not true even by the most objective standards.The spinning is very rough. There are no ball bearings. It is metal on metal with some grease.The seat is very low - about 17" from floor to top of seat cushion and then when you sit, it is ever lower. I am using this with my office desk. I had to build a platform using 2 layers of 3/4" plywood and then installed wheels from a normal office chair. This added about 4" to the height and then I use a piece of 3/4" plywood as a chair mat.Here's the stupidest part. The tightening knob used to lock the recline is positioned in the front, not the side. So you have to lean forward to access it. It should be on the side so no matter what position you are in, you can get to it. I have never used it.I gave this 3 stars because I know how expensive the quality chairs are running up to several hundred dollars. The original and best ones are the Ekornes chairs made in Europe. I tried these and they are unbelievably comfortable and well made but are thousands of dollars. Everything else on the Internet are knock-offs. So for the price of $200 and change, this is OK. But if you are looking for a nice chair you will be happy with, you will need to spend a little more or go to Macy's where you can try them out and spend $500+. If you just want something to plop into after work, this is OK.

Ordered this chair about 10 days ago. Arrived in a box that was significantly beat up. Worried that the contents would be damaged. Unpacked the chair and was pleasantly surprised that nothing was damaged. Assembly was not the easiest, but was accomplished in about 30 minutes. Lining up the holes in the arm rest for the screws was the only issue. OK, I ordered it, received it, assembled it, and now I sat in it. Initially I was disappointed in the amount of reclining and the difficulty in getting it to recline and to swivel. Sounds bad, eh? Well, I placed the chair in front of my new LG 55 inch 3D TV (a great TV by the way ) and WOW! Since this chair was purchased exclusefully for viewing TV, all the forementioned weaknesses became secondary to the primary purpose of "how comfortable is the chair for viewing TV?" Well, check out the title for this review. Just ordered a second one and expect Amazon Prime delivery in 2 days. Watching TV does not require that the chair recline to a great extent nor does it need to swivel easily. Actually the swiveling is getting better with useage. We selected this chair because they would be in a small room so we did not want 2 large overstuffed reclining chairs. (I am 6' and 170 lbs, she is 5'3" 110 lbs.) These are a perfect size. (5 stars) These are comfortable (5 stars) The price was good (5 stars). Would have liked a bit more travel and ease in the reclining function (3 stars). Could have been easier to assemble (4.5 stars, but you only have to do it once!) Needed 2 but ordered one in case we didn't like it and needed to send it back. Liked it and followed thru with ordering the second. They look great, and are comfortable. We are very pleased.

Product looking good on the picture. Yet it is cheesy Chinese armchair. I wouldn't buy it again if I could.

Solid, and relatively easy to assemble but a little awkward with just one person. I admire the creative packaging. The chair is solid as is the ottoman. I have fallen asleep quite a few times now, while watching late tv and with no back issues as a result, fyi.

I am very pleased with the leather recliner. Very easy to assemble . It's very comfortable & looks good. Delivery was in the time line quoted.

Nice furnature piece

Love it! Very good quality for the price... I’ve seen the same set in stores for $300 more... It is obviously not a Lazy Boy, but for the price it’s nice and it does not take to much space in the room...
