I am not a huge fan of circular needles, having learned to knit in the round with double pointed needles. These looked interesting for being 10" rather than the commonly available 7", which could make things like hats less likely to drop stitches off of a needle.Since the picture was too small (no larger version was available) to tell with any certainty if there were 4 or 5 needles in the package, and the description was unclear, I hoped that there would be 5 and ordered this item. There are only 4 needles, which makes the increase in length over using a set of 5 7" needles trivial, and not worth the cost and trouble. I am returning these.Reading the description again, this incomprehensible sentence (copied directly from the product page) might indicate that there are only 4, but the "4in" seemed to refer to the size of the pouch described, as far as I was concerned."the quicksilver 11 3 4x1 5 8x1 4in vinyl pouch can be used for storage."

Not a fan of these. I didn't realize they were plastic when I ordered them. I was looking for metal ones. But I tried them out anyway. They're functional, and they're not heavy or cold. But that's the best I can say for them. It feels like you're knitting with kids' toys. They are about as "slick" as a cheap plastic crochet hook. They're also quite blunt. I took too long to return them, but I wouldn't buy them again.

I was looking for an alternative to bamboo double-pointed needles, so I tried these. I like the weight, and they are nice and smooth, but the yarn didn't slide along at all, it kind of stuck on the needles. I didn't like having to think about moving it where I wanted it to go. I much prefer the pressed maple needles I got later.

Right out of the box I put these needles to work. I have finished on knitted hat and have 2 more to finish before Christmas so I am making excellent progress. Nice turnaround with the shipping too. Very Very happy with my purchase and my new knitted hat. :)

I love these needles! They are made of some kind of plastic but have a little bit of give to them,so they are very comfortable to knit with. I will definitely look for Susan Bates Quicksilver needles for my future needle purchases.

The product arrived in a timely fashion, was as represented, and was a good buy. I bought multiple sets. However, $12.95 for shipping/handling on a padded envelop that weighed about 12 oz -- that was greedy!

The wife said she has to have them, she does make some very nice things with them though.

quality product, very smooth to work with. I am very satisfied with this product. Would recommend these needles to other knitters.
