I was happy to come across the Helios as it seemed to ...
As a newbie hiker and keen camper, i wanted a decent outdoor backpack without spending an absolute fortune. I was happy to come across the Helios as it seemed to have everything i needed. Upon receiving and giving it a test run i realised it had features i didn’t even know i needed! It comes with everything you would expect, a large volume to carry all you’d need on hikes and room for more when camping with 2 main compartments and 5 smaller compartments there’s room for pretty much anything you could need on a hike or short camp. It has padded straps for support on the shoulders and a durable material to withstand even the worst of the British Weather. The additional features is where you’d be forgiven for thinking this backpack was a lot more expensive than it is! It comes with a serious support system to help distribute weight across your back, shoulders and even some weight on the hips, which makes carrying heavier weights a lot more comfortable over long distances. It has different stats and belts to adjust the positioning of the weight on your back. It even comes with a bright orange rain cover to keep everything dry in the heavy rain, the rain cover is handy but a little bit too bright for me, but if that’s all i have to criticise on this item, i’d say i was onto a winner!I’m very pleased with this purchase and would absolutely recommend it to newbie hikers like me!

Lightweight and very comfortable
I recently had to replace an old rucksack I use for day walks in the New Forest, and bought the 35 litre version of this Helios rucksack. I’m very impressed in the build quality and materials used. It has an aluminium frame but it’s so light I don’t even notice I’m wearing it. The shoulder straps are wide and well padded, with a chest strap to hold them in place, and the hip strap has two pockets for handheld GPS or coins/cards.The internal frame is slightly c-shaped, which holds the body of the rucksack away from you and stops you from getting a sweaty back. A great design, I wore it for about 5 hours on my first walk with it and it felt great. There is a water bottle pocket on each side, a CamelBak holder and a series of hoops on the back to clip sleeping bag, tent etc onto. The material itself appears to be fully waterproof, but it also comes with a bright orange elasticated rain cover that can be pulled out and put in place in a matter of seconds. Perfect for high visibility when walking/cycling, or just keeping the rain off.I would definitely recommend this rucksack to anyone looking for a lightweight day pack that looks good and is very well put together. Great value for money too. The only drawback I can think of is that the internal frame takes up quite a bit of the interior space, which means that the rucksack looks bigger than it actually is. Hardly a problem though as it’s so light and comfortable.

Very good value for money
A friend of mine recommended this rucksack to me, and I bought it.I`m super happy with it, the size of the rucksack is suitable for both me and my wife.I like the colour scheme, a very good combination of grey and orange.I was very surprised when I saw the extra waterproof and hi-visibility orange cover poping down from a pocket on the bottom of the rucksack. The material and the build quality are superb, all that I have expected, the air flow in the back is amazing no more soaking wet back.It is very comfortable to wear, and the weight distribution is very good if you adjust it right. The size is excellent for a weekend hike, it has enough space for spare worm clothes food and water. There is an option to attach a bladder for water, but I have not tested it yet because it has two comfortable elastic side pockets where I easily feed a 1-litre bottle of water each without losing any inner space. The front zip is going far down for easy access so you can find something on the bottom of the rucksack without taking alt everything on top.The inner space is split into 2 parts to keep your stuff better organised, and the big pocket on top is a good place to keep the staff you need to reach easily. The shoulder straps are ventilated and reinforced. The two small pockets on the waist belt are very helpful you can fit there small size smartphone or GPS or snack.

Comfy, Affordable! Looks Great 5*****
I purchased this bag for a trip to the pyranees Firstly the colour of the backpack is exactly as expected. I often find looking for items online can leave me disappointed as the appearance in the photo can be different. This wasn't the case. The reflective material gives an array of contrast when the pack is exposed to different light. I received a few comments from friends admiring the style. The cover works well as expected. The zips offered are of good quality and seem highly durable. The multiple zips alow good access for all your bits n bobs like bars and gels without bringing your group to a halt. The pack is extremely comfortable on back. The design offers an extremely satisfying allowance of airflow to pass. This can be crucial when climbing in hot conditions. When I first climbed abroad I didn't have this & suffered. I would say this is a massive contributing factor that makes this pack an awesome buy for anyone looking for a first pack or even the more experienced climber. Recently, I climbed Mount Olympos and once again it delivered. Often you find with lesser known brands quality and functionality can suffer however with the Helios 35 is not the case. On the matter of size, make sure this isn't too big for you. With 35 litres you'll find this pack with accomadate all the necessarys required from 1 day excursions all the way to longer expositions. All in all, the pack offers fantastic value second to none. I'll be sure to recommend this to anyone looking to have all expectations met within a highly affordable budget.
