Great quality for a very reasonable price!
I have expensive machines and cannot use cheap threads that have excessive lint, so I usually use Sulky or Madeira. These threads are of excellent quality! Since I was doing costumes for a musical, I knew we would be going through a lot of thread so I ordered these. They are low lint, and you get a lot for what you pay for! By the way, I learned that grey threads are a good neutral color and can be used with almost any color fabric :o) I hope this company stays around for awhile because I am coming back for more!

Very pleased!
I'm a quilt artist and sell my art quilts for top dollar... I'm a diehard Aurifil thread user because of the quality, but a friend recommended these to use instead for my regular quilts mostly for cost savings. I have to say I am very pleased to far. Then I tried it for my art quilts. It did take a little adjusting of my machine and testing to get it perfect as it's a 3 ply instead of a 2 ply, but I got it. And bonus, it shows up a lot nicer being just a hair thicker. I do a LOT of thread painting and sketching along with quilting so thread color and quality is very high on my list. This thread is right up there! And for the price, it is a deal! Will still use a finer thread in my bobbin, (I use a 60wt normally or a 2 ply 50wt), as it just works better for thread painting, but this works very well for quilting and other sewing in the bobbin too.. I will absolutely be buying more of this. I bought two of the color ways and will be getting them all so I have any color I need. Also, one of the spools had a lot of fuz on it which made it shred at the needle eye and break. I wrote them more as an FYI as I know this is from a manufacturing process, and Connecting Threads replaced it ASAP. WOW! Nice service guys!!!

One spool is a MESS. The others seem okay so far.
I needed some 100% cotton thread for some projects. We have no area fabric stores and the Walmart only offers Coats and Clark, which I do not care for. So, I came to Amazon for a choice.I ordered Connecting Threads in the black/white/grays set. I've only used the black and the white so far. The black was fine, but the WHITE spool, the one I needed the most, has been a mess!So far, the white thread has broken multiple times. One time, it looked like a place where two lots of thread were connected, but it broke where connected. It snapped off at the needle several times as well. So, I put a brand new needle on and rethreaded the machine. Then it started making these little "coils" above the needle eye and of course, breaking. It also created some stitching problems that were unique to this white spool only.I apparently got a bad/lemon spool with my white one. Darned shame, because the black stitched just fine.Taking off one star for the bad spool and one star for the frustration and time lost fiddling with this breaking, faulty thread.

This Thread is AWESOME & the colors are Great !!
I love this thread & the cost was great !!! I have ordered twice from this company & I have NO complaints whatsoever. Love the colors of the thread & it was a Great Deal. I received it in good condition & was packaged very well. I used it on both my Brother machines & sewed like a dream. I will definitely order again. Thanks for a Great Product ♥♥♥

Very responsive company - they seemed to be used to the complaints
Like several others who reviewed this thread, I had a problem with the white bunching up and breaking while I was quilting (I haven't had the opportunity to try the 4 other colors yet); it seems OK for piecing. After the thread broke about 7 times I called Connecting Threads. They were very responsive and said they would send out a new spool right away. But still, the whole process was frustrating and time consuming. It was not worth the money I saved.UPDATE 9/24/2018 - The new spool came in a timely fashion but the same problem occurred: top thread kept breaking while quilting. I changed needles, rethreaded the machine several times, even tried a differed machine but no good. Most people seem to be OK with what they get but I am sorry I took the chance on this. I've wasted so much time that I have learned never to buy cheap thread again.

These threads are great for embroidery
These threads are great for embroidery. Although I give them 4/5 stars because they are very flat colors. What I mean in calling them flat is that when they go onto the fabric they go on in a flat format. They are not shiny like I am used to embroidery colors being. Having said this I have ordered from them since then. I just wish before ordering them that I would have been able to tell how they went onto the fabric. If I had seen that they were not what I am used to I am not sure that I would have bought them as they only go with each other really. It is hard to put them next to my shiny colors because they stand out more. I have posted a picture of one of my embroidery towels to hopefully get your understanding of the colors. The black in this image is the connecting threads color.

Pure crap thread
This thread is awful, it twists and knots up when it’s not breaking and don’t even get me started on the fuzz that it leaves behind. Save yourself some grief and invest in good thread like Aurifil. I purchased this set based on all of the great reviews here and am quite dismayed at how low the quality is on this thread. I do a lot of hand sewing and this thread took my favorite past-time to a level of frustration that made me not want to sew anymore. Absolutely do not recommend!!

Love this thread!
I have just started making quilts this year and have already spent way too much money on rulers and fabric and all the wonderful stuff that comes along with this new obsession. However, I've been trying to find ways to cut costs without cutting quality. I was astounded to discover how expensive thread can be! So I was so relieved to find Connecting Threads. I can't compare this thread to the more expensive 50-weights out there such as Aurifil because I've never used the other brands, but, after two full-sized quilts and many pillows, I am very happy to report that this thread works perfectly. Throughout all of those projects, my thread has broken twice, and both times were actually due to mistakes I made versus anything wrong with the thread itself. They have a huge range of colors and it's so darn affordable. I highly recommend this thread to anyone who is struggling to scrape together the hundreds of dollars necessary to afford Aurifil and other high-priced brands.

Great threads for great price
Beautiful colours! I almost finished the cream spool but it didn't break even once. I already bought a few more on their own website, and I will buy some again in the future.

Colors sold me on this thread. Sturdiness is not bad throws a bit of lint. Good value for price!
Colors are perfect and weight and sturdiness of this thread I’d great. Does have a fair amount of lint but it’s worth the pay off to get these colors. Great value for money.
