Good quality, warm and light but with three negatives
1. MontBell advertises it's jackets as made in US- not true. This jacket and all others are made by an independent factory in China. I've contacted this factory and found that they make jackets for many other companies as well. Basically the only thing made in US with these jackets is the design of the MontBell logo which is precisely machine sewn onto them (also in China).2. This jacket could easily take around 1000 cubic centimeters (1litre) of volume if compressed. Since I live in Europe I ordered it to be sent to a forwarder address who then shipped it to me- the fact it was inadequately compressed meant the shipping was more expensive.3. The left arm velcro was not sewn on correctly- quality issue.
