Hot or Cold compress
I love that this can be used for hot or Cold needs, but I don't like that it turns off after 2 hours. I miss the old heating pads that didn't have shut-off times. Wish the timer was more like 4-5 hours or an option for varying times. Otherwise, the pad itself is comfortable & soft, & helps with a variety of things

I’ll never go back!
I was using the heat packs that I had to microwave they only lasted 3-4 months since I was using it a few times a week. It was to costly to keep buying them. Then I started using the ones with the little coin metals where you pinch it and the heat pack gets hot and solid but then I had to boil and cook it. That’s too time consuming! Finally after all these years I decided to get this plug ones GOSH why did I wait so long to buy this!!!! I plug it in and it heats up really fast the cord is long enough for me to do little things here and there but that was fine with me. No more microwave and no more boiling heat packs ever! I don’t mind being close to the outlet but if I had to do something I’ll unplug and the heat is still hot and I’ll plug back. It sounds kind of funny but it works. Best decision ever! I’m currently on the Medium setting and it’s perfectly hot for me. I am accustomed to hot heat on my back so I went straight to medium settings with no issues. I haven’t had the need to try the hot setting yet. I’m using this on my lower back.If this ever breaks its worth it to buy another. Saves me a lot of time.

looks like it would be a great product but...
This product is a wasted purchase. On the highest setting it feels warm, not hot, for a minute and then fades to a less warm temp starting around 10 minutes of use. We also tried turning it off and back on high but the fade to less warm pattern starts right where it was stopped. We even went as far as testing it in different outlets around the house. It gets 1 star; even though it's comfortable it must still work as intended. This lightening deal also didn't help my purchasing decision, Amazon (are you listening?).

Works like a charm. Pain relief at last!
After researching heating pads, I called Pure Enrichment to ask some clarification questions. Their rep patiently answered them and then, based on what was going on with my back pain, suggested that I consider their Lumbar Heating Pad. (Surprisingly, it cost LESS than the one I was considering.) I did buy one and have used it for several days. Even on the medium heat setting it was warm enough for my needs. The straps to hold it in place worked well, allowing me to work at my computer with the pad on. I have not yet tried the gel pack or the moist heat options, but I see no reason why they wouldn't work well, too. A great product (just what the doctor ordered) and good personal customer support.

Awesome idea, horrible final product
I ended up returning this product. I really wanted to love it and am sad it wasn't up to par. I should have listened to the other reviewer because she was 100% accurate. This heating pad either is barely warm or scalding my back.My biggest concern was that the buttons were constantly being pushed as I moved around in bed and I'd randomly be jumping out of bed to keep my back from burning off. It was very scary. The heat also seemed to fluctuate somehow, even on the same level. I loved the material, the study strap, the heat pack it came with, and the ease of use. If only it functioned properly. I do not recommend.

Temperature Variance
Hate to spoil the party here, since its been all 5 stars so far, but even tho this product looks well made, and has nice features, I found the temp settings too uneven. Don't know if its a defect or not. What I found was, anything higher than warm or low is too hot. Warm is right on. Low is still on the hot side, and the upper 2 settings are way too hot. I started out with High, that was not sustainable. Then went to Med., still too hot. Very much so. So I went to Warm, and that was not quite hot enough. So I settled on LOW and that was about right and comfortable with it. I am not heat sensitive normally, not at all, but I think the thermo electronics are not calibrated well, or else too much variance in electronic components. Thank you. Again don't mean to de-value this product as its a great product and even has a 5 yr Warranty, very good in many ways. :)

Good Heating Pad - SML
I really like the fact that you can wear it. It must be plugged in, however; and the plug-in is a tad bulky, although not a deal killer. The strap has two velcro attachments, rather than a belt loop. Works fine, but the photos are not clear in this regard. The heating has been somewhat inconsistent, but I use a facecloth if it gets too hot . Please note that it has a gel pack which you are instructed to heat in a microwave before using the device as a heating pad. I have not had it long enough (only used it four times so far) to know if the device is effective without the gel pack. Have not yet used it as a cold pack. Seems a bit pricey for something requiring the use of a gel pack if it needs to be plugged in, but I really like the fact that you can wear it for back pain. Maybe you can use just the gel pack and leave it unplugged, although I don't know for how long. I rate it a 3.5 and rounded up to 4.

For me, a "God sent" heating pad
After 6 weeks with little to no sleep each night because of right flank back pain I checked with my treating physician and purchased this heating pad. I suffer from postherpetic neuralgia (PHN) after a bout with shingles. The pain has been almost unbearable but especially at night when I'm trying to sleep. The evening after I received this item I used a water spray bottle to lightly spray the pad per the user's manual for moist heat therapy. I set the temperature on low and wrapped my lumbar section using the adjustable straps to a very comfortable sleep position. The back spasms were reduced so that I got a better night's sleep and it continues to do so each night when used. It is not a cure for pain, but any reduction of pain is so very welcomed especially when you are trying to sleep. It is also a great quality adjustable heating pad. Individual results will vary of course, but for me this has been "God sent"!
