Push MetaGrip Thumb CMC Orthosis, Right, 1

It's a the only brace I can wear all day and work in, and I’ve tried many. Ideally, I’d prefer having a non arthritic thumb, and it’s not perfect, but it does alleviate my pain. I did have issues where the plastic would irritate my palm but it seems to have gotten better as the brace gets more “broken in” to my hand..? And it’s VERY expensive for what it is but, good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good. I’ve had it for about 3 weeks, I hope it holds up for a while….

The one thing is it needs some padding in certain areas. Other than that it is comfortable and it stops the one bone that slips in my thumb/wrist area. Much more movement than from. Other braces.

I have loose ligaments, and I am also a professional seamstress. This means the joint at the base of my thumb moves too much, and I use my hands a lot, so I get a lot of pain and swelling. My hand surgeon recommended this brace.No brace is perfect, but It’s the best I’ve found for retaining mobility of other fingers while isolating and limiting the movement of that joint.

This is a very well-made item, but I do think that the price is horrendous and price-gouging. There is no way it costs ANYWHERE in the vicinity of what they're charging to make this. It feels like being taken advantage of.That said, they have a corner on the market because not many others are making these types of braces. I thought it helped at first, but with continued wear, it really began hurting my swollen thumb joint from the hard pressure, and also the plastic part that fits into the hand webbing between the thumb and index finger really bit into my hand and hurt a lot.

It does not fit after following the directions on sizing.

The device fit my hand quite well considering I was guessing on the size to order. There was some chafing in a couple of places but further adjustments seem to alleviate that with use. So glad it worked because it was quite expensive for a fixed income.

Especially for the price. The hard shell digs into my hand in more than one place. the velcro band is really stiff, and the shell doesn't seem to support my thumb in the right places. Unfortunately I was so busy I missed the time limit to return it. I basically only use it when I misplace my soft material splint. THis was more than 4 times the price of the soft splint and I barely use it. The doctor said I should buy this one for more heavy duty physical work. Maybe I am not wearing it correctly or something, but I doubt that is the problem

I have used multiple types of braces for my wrist or thumb. I am not able to type with them and must type of work. This brace provides support for my thumb tendinitis but it is not restrictive allowing me to work.
