Don't Waste Your Money...
I was really looking forward to this book, because we just got our CrockPot Express. I've tried three recipes so far, and they've all been terrible. It's clear that this book was packed to fill 550 recipes, but it's a shame no one bothered to try any of them (or edit the book for grammar and spelling). It's poorly written; I found two examples in the three recipes I tried where ingredients were mislabeled (salsa was then referenced as salt) and quantities for measuring were missed. There was no real organization of the book (there's two different sections where you can find two Pork Chop Worcestershire recipes (both different) within the book. Makes it very confusing to keep track of what you want to try. Lastly, the recipes are so under seasoned, it's almost comical. 3 tsp of Worcestershire for a 4 thick pork chops doesn't really seem to be the right amount to add any flavor (turns out it's not). The CrockPot has definitely done it's job with making the recipes tender... it's just a shame the recipes don't live up to the hype of any flavor. Hard pass on this one. I'll be looking for a new book that goes through a chef and a publisher first.

Thankful!
The Crock-Pot Express Pressure Cooker is a kitchen gadget that will make you wonder how on Earth you lived without it. This cookbook will help you learn new and healthy recipes easy to prepare in your Crock Pot Express Pressure Cooker. As mentioned in the introduction, Crock Pot Express Pressure Cooker is a real kitchen pal that will help you make even the most complicated meals you crave but never had the time or energy to cook. That’s a kitchen gadget that not only will do the cooking for you, but it can also be cleaned in the dishwasher. This cooker comes with a manual mode so the user can customize the cooking time for any meal. Helpful and useful guide too. I recommend this guidebook for all. Thankful!

Helpful book !
This 550 Crock Pot Express Recipes Cookbook will also help you to save money as all these recipes are budget friendly as well. Get started from beginner to pro cook with this helpful book. No pictures included but neatly written and easy to prepare. A Great Cookbook!!! I attempted loads of the formulas from the Soup area and on the off chance that you take after the formulas, you get exceptionally great suppers. In Instant Pot, soups are arranged rapidly and hold every one of their flavors and saturation.I might want to prescribe it to all...

Missing index.
This cookbook was recommended to me for the recipes it contains. It has 550, which is great. However, there is no alphabetical index for the recipes. The table of contents lists the recipes in general categories, but the recipes are not alphabetized or organized by type in some of the categories.Additionally, even though it states it is for the "Crock Pot Express", the first recipe I flipped to, for a Mexican Bean Salad, stays to do a quick pressure release. The instruction manual that came with my Crock Pot Express warned in bold letters to NOT do a quick release with beans. I don't know if the owner's manual is being overly cautiious or if this cookbook is ignoring good advice.

Terrible Cook Book
Deserves zero stars. I don't know why there were so many great reviews. This was the worst cook book I have ever purchased. Reviews said ingredients were commonly found in kitchen - not. Plus whoever wrote is not someone who knows the English language very well.

Lots of mistakes in this cook book.
This is not a good book for beginner cooks. There are multiple mistakes as to ingredients, amounts of ingredients and some directions are very confusing. The only good thing about this book is that it has some interesting recipes and that it uses items that are readily available, for the most part, at local groceries. If you know that you wouldn't want to use a 1/2 C of cumin in a recipe for 4 people you might be Ok to use this book. Otherwise, use it at your own risk.

Wish it had an Index......
It's a nice book, however it's difficult to find a recipe with the meat that you want to use that evening. The categories it's broken into is Rice Recipes, Beans & Grains Recipes, Breakfast & Brunch Recipes, Vegetarian & Vegan Recipes, Soups & Stews, Pasta & Side Dishes, Snacks & Appetizers, Poultry Recipes, Meat Recipes, Fish and Seafood Recipes, and Desserts Recipes. There is no index in the back to look for Beef or Chicken. So you have to look through all parts of it because some of the Rice Recipes, Beans & Grains Recipes, Soups & Stews also have Poultry or Meat in them as well. I would have liked it much better with an index in the back to be able to look at the specific meat and see what I have for options. I like making one pot meals at times and it can take a while to go through the book to find a recipe for the evening. There is a lot of great recipes in this book.

Multi step recipes, the opposite of walk away cooking
Recipes are multi step, requiring some ingredients be cooked in pots and pans or an oven prior to adding to slow cooker. Definitely not hassle free, or walk away cooking, which is really the only aspect of crock pot cooking that interests me. Also It seems this book was written solely for a product called the "Crock Pot Express". I don't believe that was ever mentioned in the items description. I have your ordinary run of the mill crock pot.

Disappointed
Rather disappointed with this book. Although there are lots of recipes, they are very much tailored to the US market and use ingredients that are not available here - I guess I will have to see what is in said ingredients and try to re-create if I want to do those recipes. The author was very adamant that instructions should be followed to the letter - thus I had two fails of the ones I have done: one involving dried pulses where he did not state to soak them beforehand and therefore they were not cooked in the time specified in the recipe, and Sunday pancakes which threw up an E6 error (probably due to lack of liquid) and ended up as a dense sponge cake - the birds enjoyed that!

Needs translation
A very American book - imperial measurements; American names for beans, veg, herbs and products. The books is badly edited with spelling mistakes, recipe lists which leave out carriage returns or spaces.Poor quality paper, no illustrations, no index. I'm not confident the binding will survive for long! There are no recipes for the slow cooking element of the cooker.

Limited Type of Recipes
This was a bit disappointing as the majority of the recipes are aimed at the pressure cooker element of the Crockpot, very limiting considering how versatile the unit is. Also short form recipes rather than detailed pictorial, but lots of them. Not a disaster of a book, but I had hoped it was it had more use of the slow cooker functionality.

Easy menus in quick time.
No pictures of the meals. Remember it is an American recipe book therefore soup sizes are different. Made a few and all turned out ok.

Useful but not perfect
Lots of good recipes, American measurements but easy enough to use. The layout could definitely be improved but it’s functional, I would have liked to see pictures of dishes really but otherwise a useful cookbook.
