Just the thing I needed for nightime for my dry eyes
I had been using Eyeseals for a number of months, but they were just too big for my face and, due to this, there were significant gaps between the mask and my face where moisture could leak out and roll down my face.I research online for something similar that would fit a normal size face and stumbled on Tranquil Eyes. The first night I wore them, they were so much more comfortable and retailed moisture so much better than the Eyeseals, due to the fact that I had no significant gaps between the mask and my face. A bonus was the fact that they totally kep light out, and as that triggers my sleep issues, it has helped me get much better sleep since I've been using themThe only complaint I have is that the fabric delaminates from the foam pads and falls off, but, as I have purchased extras, it is no big deal to replace as needed. As to other people's complaints that the masks fall off their heads, you CAN adjust the fit of the mask by tightening the elastic. The silken back doesn't roll off the back of my head, but I can imagine those who don't have much hair might find that to be a problem.

Great for Corneal Erosion
Last year, I developed Corneal Erosion. If you have it, you know how terrifying it is to wake up in the morning and brace yourself to open your eyes. Up until this purchase, I had been using Muro 128 and a plain ole' sleeping mask. The Muro 128 certainly helped, but the mask would slip off in the night and it just didn't fit my face. My husband likes the fan on at night (which has the potential for disaster for RCE) and the breeze would slip under the sleeping mask.I got fed up with the sleep mask and wanted to try something better. My options? A better sleeping mask that hopefully fit better or some sleep goggles. I went with the goggles because it's easier to clean them than a mask (the Muro 128 leaks out of my eyes sometimes and gets things gunky).I've been using these for about a month. I put run hot water on the pads before bedtime and my eyes stay shut through the night with the light pressure. In combo with the Muro 128, I've woken up without scratching my cornea off, which is nice. Blissfully nice.4 stars because the strap will sometimes loosen in the night and I wish the eye pieces were a little bit bigger. I just make sure to tighten the strap as much as I can deal with it. As for the small eye pieces? Yeah, there's a space in the corner of my outer eye where air can get in, but the inside foam pads keep my eyes shut, so it isn't a big problem. It's too bad the nose bridge isn't adjustable or has size options. In all, I much prefer these than a sleep mask. Keeps my eyes closed and wet, which keeps the cornea intact.

good theory.
I have very dry eyes and purchased these to help with moisture at night. I thought the size of the goggles was ok and the fit is ok. They do loosen during the night somewhat but the head strap is comfortable. The one problem I had with the moistened inserts is that they were as thick as the goggle. They press against the eye and cause some discomfort for me. I eventually cut them in half thickness wise and that was better. The moistened pads make the eye feel cool but did not help tremendously for me as far as moisture during the night. The theory is you keep more moisture around the eye and it will keep it more hydrated. Well, it just did not work very well for me. I would not discount it completely but it is not the miracle I hoped for.

By far the most light-blocking and comfortable pair I've owned.
I use a hybrid CPAP mask and it can dry out my eyes overnight. I've tried four different eye masks and until now they weren't great at conforming to my face to keep air out of my eyes. There was always a gap around my nose, which is where the air gets in. I took a chance on this pair and I'm glad I did. They're super comfortable, the memory foam conforms comfortably around my eyes, the bridge is empty so there's no nose bridge gap for air to get into. They do leave impression marks, but so does my mask. The only thing I don't like is the side tensioners on the elastic don't hold it in place - I have to re-tighten them every night. I might have to tie a knot in them to keep them at the right tension. I use mine with the inserts taken out, so it's just a ring of memory foam around my eyes, and I'm a stomach sleeper so this helps keep my eyes from feeling squished and keeps my eyebrow on the sleep side from being smooshed out of place. These work great when paired with a hybrid CPAP mask.

Cured my dry eye, corneal abrasion, and corneal cracking in 1 night
I had severe dry eye. I would wake up in excruciating pain in the mornings, often partially or fully blind in one eye, where my cornea had abraded or cracked. It would take most of the day for the cornea to heal up enough so I could see anything other than a field of milky white. Thankfully, the cornea is the fastest healing organ in the human body (or so I've heard), meaning I could generally get back to work by mid-afternoon.So, one day, I thought about my symptoms: my eyes were ALWAYS worse in the morning, and the pain was most extreme where my lower lid met my eyeball. So...maybe I wasn't closing my eyes fully at night? I tried these and the next day, I woke up pain free and able to see the world. It was a minor miracle. Basically, the foam pad inserts press just enough against the eyelids to keep them in place, and then the foam outer rings press enough on the region near your eyelashes to stimulate some oil production. It's been several months now, and these still work like a charm. I have since gotten off of about 4 different kinds of eyedrops and even missed this year's Lipiflow appointment. Our retirement plans to the state of New Mexico (with a severe dry climate) are back on the table again. This product won't solve everyone's dry eye problem, but it solved mine. I just pray this company doesn't go out of business. I bought an extra pair of Tranqileyes just in case. Maybe I need an extra 10 pairs.
