Rubie's Pet Costume Afro Curly Wig, Medium To Large, Black

FULL DISCLOSURE: I am not the actual consumer of this product. I am writing this review on behalf my dog, who purchased this item recently. He is unable to type due to having paws instead of fingers, so he will be dictating. For the purposes of clarity and accountability, from this point forward the terms "I", "my", "me", and all other first-person descriptors will refer to him.The image associated with this listing is a bit more marketing than advertising. The image (and indeed, the term, "afro" itself) suggested I would receive an item to evoke the true glory days of this iconic hairstyle. Without going into a lot of unnecessary digression, I will note that I purchased this item to top off an outfit for a Don Cornelius karaoke party, where I would be performing as 1970s-era Diana Ross. As you can see from the attached the photo, my afro looks more like it was tamed by a gallon of Darryl Jenks' jeri curl juice prior to shipping. I was a little disappointed at first, but being a consummate stage professional, I was able to switch gears and perform as 80s-era Jermaine Jackson instead. So, not a total loss.Apart from its modest loft though, this wig is great. It fits well, and the strap is discreet enough to not be a distraction to the audience.All in all, an okay deal.

The wig has a white adjustable strap that secures under the chin. It is a lil large for my pup n will need to be trimmed- but that ok.. We can always take a way but we cam never add on :) it has nearly perfect pin curls-not frizzy. I also have an easily overheated dog but this piece had a lot of ventilation that allowed him to stay cool.

I adopted a dog from the pound, and his name was Snoop Dogg. So of course he needed this wig! He's not an absolute fan, yet, but we're working on it. It doesn't look exactly as curly and fluffy as the picture, but I'm sure there's something I can do about that if I work at it. And really, for the cost, it's amusing enough.

purchased for a costume contest. when I received it looked like a flat cheap hairpiece . looked nothing like the picture which it what I needed it to look like so wouldn't recommend this product

As the reviews above me have stated, this wig is NO WHERE near as plush and fluffy as the picture displays. However, it does stay on quite well and I like the adjustable strap. This fit on both my cat and dog (who are very different sizes), so it's really versatile as far as fit goes!
