Nice timer that controls white and blue LEDs separately.
Nice timer that controls white and blue LEDs separately.I thought the programming was easy and the timer actually keeps accurate time. I had one of these for several months now and it has performed flawlessly. My only issue is that the number LED on the timer itself is too bright; it's bright enough to use as a night light (more on this in the next paragraph).I'm using this timer with a LED light in my 240 gallon cichlid tank. Some of the fish usually freaks out and dashes around wildly if there is a sudden change in brightness, so I set the blue LED to come on a few minutes before the white LED goes off, so my fish doesn't freak out when it gets dark suddenly (this process is reversed when the lights are programmed to come on). I have the timer upside down on the top of my tank, so when the blue moon light LED goes off, the number digit on the timer itself serves as a night light that stays on all night.I'm very happy with this addition to my fish tank because it has reduced injury to my fish and the tanks looks great.

Great timer! Super easy set up!
Arrived quickly. Fits perfectly into the large round knob on the left of the LED light, just remove the knob by un-screwing it then plug in the timer module and screw in the new cap that is in the cord. Now to set it up the time... Pretty simple... Follow along below...1) Press and hold both buttons, set the actual time... once that's done wait a moment and the time will now show. Timer uses military time FYI.2) Next day light timer... Press and hold the green button until it blinks.. First set the on time then you will see of this is to set the time the daylight will turn off....3) Now onto moonlight same process press and hold the blue button until flashing, then set the time you want it to come on, then of will show that is when you set the time for it to turn off.I have mine set to come on around 6:47 am and off at 6:47 pm or 18:47 military. Then my moonlight is set to turn on at 18:47 and turn off at 6:47. Worked perfectly with no issues whatsoever.

Lousy instructions, but great controller.
I only rated it four stars because of the poor instructions. I received and set up my 6’ light with the BeamWorks digital controller. It took me a couple minutes to find the controller plug on the end of the light to connect to the controller. I’m up to two minutes so far. I read the, poorly worded Chinese instructions and had it timed and programmed in the next two minutes. My wife is an artist and she LOVES the visuals and color saturation. Fish are brighter and actually seem happier. I know I am. I removed four HI flouresencents and must be saving a bunch on electricity. I will revisit in a few months but for now I am VERY happy with the product. I hope the questions of durability are unfounded, but, it is made in China.Update: I missed the “off” part of programming both A and B programs so was a little disappointed the first few days, but after I went back and ACTUALLY read the setup instructions it is working exactly as I originally described. Customers need to understand the “of” they see is actually where you set the off time. In fact, I like it so much I am buying two more for my other large aquariums.

Setting Up Timer
Timer works great, the directions are very difficult to understand. Here is how to set up the timer for the Beamswork DA 6500K 0.50W Series LED Pent Aquarium Light. (1) Turn switch on side to "off", unplug the unit. Then attach the electrical cord of OEM digital timer unit to the access port on the side of LED light fixture.. (2) Plug back in, unit and light should blink once to show that the manual on/off switch is overridden. (3) Press & hold both "white" and "blue" buttons simultaneously for a couple seconds to set the current time; enter hour with "white" button; enter minutes with "blue" button. It is military time. (4) Press & hold "white" button for a couple seconds; the readout shows "ON", then enter your desired time (hour & minute) to turn on white lights. After a few seconds the readout shows "OFF", then enter your desired "off" time (hour & minute). (5) Press and hold the "blue" button a few seconds, and repeat step #4 to set the on/off time for the blue lights.

pretty good.
works great, really easy to set up. fast delivery. the only issue that i have is that the first one of the two that i ordered does not work properly after a month of use. once you set up the clock, it doesn't keep up with time.will see how the second one works after some time.i have contacted the seller for a return/ exchange and now I'm just waiting on them to contact me. other than that its great. will deff come back and update my review after i resolve the problem.the day after i wrote the review the light controller started working. so I'm going to take the chance and not return it. don't feel like going thru all the trouble. i also got a return label from the seller a couple of days after i place the order for the exchange.

This is easy to program and it works like a charm
I purchased this to go along with the Beamswork light as I wanted to be able to have the day time lights on without the blue lights and having this timer is the only way you can do that. This is easy to program and it works like a charm. I love having the lights come on, change from day time lights to moon light without having to do anything and then go off at the scheduled time. This is a must if you're going to have the Beamswork light. The only thing I don't like is that I have this on a 20 gallon tank and the cable that connects to the light itself is a bit longer than it needs to be for my size tank and therefore I have excess cable that is a bit unsightly, but its not a deal breaker for me.
