I've installed dozens and dozens of LG pumps over the past 27 years. Medium priced and medium quality as a rule. Had to use more than the usual two wraps of teflon tape before I felt confidence in a watertight seal on the 1" male and female adapters that nobody includes since they don't know what you need. Considering that I saved about $50 using a nickels worth of tape and a minute of time? Great buy right now - but you must use teflon tape on all of these pumps.Produces a lot of volume with this X model - good for circulation. A lot of circulation.As for shipping my pump? They took a week before get it out the door for some reason. I mean - who needs a new pump? The lesson is always use two pumps because pumps last a limited number of years.

I have had one of these pumps operating for almost 20 years on a reef tank with zero problems. They do require monthly application of a lubricating oil in the two holes on top of the motor. I have not even disassembled the pump for cleaning during this time period! Reasonably quiet and efficient.

Works as advertised. The first unit I bought last month had a hairline leak, noisy hum with a clacking sound which I thought was normal due to reviews on this 1350gph unit, However, the leak between the volute and magnetic housing prompted a replacement. Thanks Amazon for sending a next day replacement, I was able to control any possible water damage from constant drip. The replacement unit hums silently and is much quieter than the first unit. This is a great unit for its price. Make sure you lubricate with a few drops of lubricant / oil, connect to sump with water above impeller level and I hope this will provide at least 10 years of service as my original pump!

Purchased to use for a water feature on an in ground pool. 4 feet of rise on a 5/8 inch tube and delivered marginal water delivery. With the change to salt in the pool and water went from a fair stream to nothing but a dribble of water. I’m past the return date and no Amazon support offered on this product. In past usage on salt water aquariums these pumps worked well.

Just received this pump. It is an upgrade from my deseased 3 series pump. This new 4 series is Very powerful.The only issue so far is that it is quite noisey in comparison to my previous 7 year old 3.I added oil to the ports but the noise continues.I'll give it a week to see how it develops.

Great pumps, installed it for someone's fish tank, they had the previous pump for a decade before it started acting up. They where very happy with the new pump. One should be aware that the intake and return on the impeller cover are larger than what they where years ago, so existing plumbing may have to be altered.

I have been pumping sodium hypochlorite (12.5% strength bleach) for 2 solid months now and the pump is operating as it did on day 1! So if you have any worries about this pump and how corrosion resistant it is, I can assure you it is HIGHLY corrosion resistant.

It arrived in a timely manner and works well.

The first time I bought a Little Giant pump for my aquariums was in 1990, and it just quit running this month. I would highly recommend this product till now, but I just received my new one this week and it is terribly noisy. Nothing has changed in my water lines to and from the aquarium but I still have been getting this terrible noise I cant use this in my aquarium due to the noise.
