Service excellent but product useless

Wish I’d read the reviews! Not fit for purpose. In fact out of 10 attempts with felt not one worked. Useless

I bought this because I couldn't find my old one and this was cheap. You get what you pay for & I can't use this. Fortunately I found my old one a week later. New one in the bin.

so it arrived and I ripped open the packet and began trying to repair my nylon bike tent. I had not used one of these for years, so the first few eyelets were punched and mangled beyond recognition. While drinking a cuppa I reviewed what I was trying to do and whether this was the correct solution.The pliers do not punch through material, probably any material, but they are not meant to... its a replacement kit for existing holes. I created my new holes and the eyelets were pinched into holding in place... until I realised they would just pull through such thin material(and they did).Another cuppa.Ah, so if I backed the reverse side of the holes with a thicker, stiffer material (small strips of plastic with holes in - made from a milk container), the eyelets would not pull through.All done.For the price, this does the job... depending on what job you've got, and how creative you can be.
