Not for LED
The advertisement posting does not say "not for LED" but if you go to the Lutron website its does. In fact they will tell you not all LED bulbs are compatible with many of their dimmers. The compatibility checker allows you to enter the model number and it gives a listing of the bulbs that work best for whatever dimmer you have entered. There are hundreds so know what type bulb you are looking for. This dimmer is for a conventional incandescent bulb.

Great dimmer - Great value
i've basically turned every switch in my house into a dimmer - well every circuit. These dimmers work really well and you can't beat the Amazon price. They take "some" effort to install in multi-gang setups where you need pliers or whatever to break off a couple of the metal sides (which are meant to come off) but other than that they come with all the twist lug ends you need and they install in about 20min - that includes turning the breakers off/on!They also have a dull light on the inside so you can see the switch when it's off. Might sound not that useful but when your 1-month old wakes you up at 2am you don't want to have to search for it.I have bought about 10 of these total and will continue to use them.

Misleading Packaging
I bought two of these at the local home center to use on my new basement lighting install. They look great and I like the illumination feature. They match perfectly with the other rocker switches in the house. Wiring was straight forward. I had to relocate the ground wire inside the box because the grounding clip interfered with the dimmer housing. This may not be an issue on a single location install but it was on my duplex install. There isn't much side clearance. I was dissapointed by the performance of this dimmer. I noticed that my lights weren't as bright as they had been with the previous dimmers. After some searching on the internet I discovered that this dimmer at full brightness dims the lamps 25% vs a normal switch. Nowhere on the packaging or the enclosed literature is this stated. This may be fine for some applications but since I need to be able to get full output from my recessed fixtures I will be replacing these.

nice switches
Replaced all our old dimmer switches with these. They work well and send a little power to an internal LED when in the off position, so are easily found in the dark.

Feels cheap
Got mine in yesterday, product works as described but for my holagen track lighting the slider has to be a ~90% to before my light will come on. Ofter then that the switch action feels cheap even compaired to my $.90 paddle switches. The switch feels like it have some slop between the actions.

Works as advertised!
I replaced 4-60 watt R-40 (240w total) floodlights with 4-18 watt (72w total) LED floodlights from Costco. These recessed-can light replacements have as much light as 4-120 watt comparable incandescents. So with my front porch now lit up like a prison break, I felt the need to purchase a dimmer. On the package it said that this dimmer switch was compatible with my new LED lights. They were right. Directions were clear, easy to install and I do NOT see a reduction in light between my old switch and the new one at full output. As far as the very tiny led in the switch? Really? If I can keep from turning on my interior lights to see the switch, I have already saved enough power to call it "eco".

Nice product-short on data
This is a nice component that works well. I had to look around online for the technical info, however- a major turn-off for an engineer who likes to read the instructions.
