Good replacement
This is a upgrade from my old Makita which I had for twelve years. I like the aluminum shoe and the height and side measurements site is very good.

It’s a saw
Works like a charm. I like the dust deflector set up.

Home run
This saw is powerful, light, and easy to use. It zips through 2x4s like a corded saw. Makita always builds the right.

There was no Bluetooth chip wtf? I'm pissed

Of all my Makita tools, this is the worst design
The power of this is not suitable for cutting a 2x4. The motor lags and stalls and can't handle basic cross cutting. I do not recommend this for any serious carpenter.
