Impossible to work around curved lights, apply any heat and it would just make holes. Ended up in the bin, much better to use tints that need water to work with.

So used the first two sheets to practice and see how the material reacts to heat and stretching.Was happy until i got to the final section applied a small bit of heat for like 2 seconds and it blew a hole straight in the material. Save your cash and get someone else to do this for you as this stuff no matter what it states is very difficult to yield and move regardless of following the instructions

The tint is good it's just lighter than the pictures show so I had to do three layers to get them as dark as I wanted

I bought this to darken the indicator light housings on my side mirrors. I still want the light to come through, and this fits the bill. I installed without using heat, and it's acceptable. If the housings were a little less curved, it would have been perfect, but there's a couple sharp edges and curves that would have turned out much better if I'd taken the extra time to use a heat gun. There's enough material in this package to do what I need about 20 times, so I wasn't worried about a less-than-perfect first install. I like that the film has a plastic cover on both sides - one to keep the adhesive protected, and another on the visible side so the film doesn't get scratched during install. I tried using soapy water to ease installation, and it was completely unsuccessful - I had to toss that piece and start over. When I pulled a piece off that had initially stuck but had an unacceptable crease in it (my fault, not the film's) it left adhesive residue on the housing. Overall, I'd buy this again for a small-scale project. I don't think I'd be comfortable using it on a large, complex headlight housing - but that's my own comfort level, not necessarily a limitation of the product.
