Proactive Archery
This book has more than 500 pages technical information to help you become a better archer. For me it has corrected several flaws in my shooting….some of which I never would have known without this book. Well written and easy to read.

Very informative and well thought out.
Tom really spent some time on this.....it is very informative. A great piece of years of knowledge wrap up in one. It has really given me a sense of direction on how to take it to the next level. Full of things a person may allready know but how it can effect the over all outcome when combined with other flaws wether it is equipment, shot execution, and mental situations. A real how to on how to practice and and gain knowledge through practice. This is not a book of "you have to shoot my way or these products to shoot well", but instead a way to use what you have and your style to it's best. All in all a book that explains more in depth than just hitting a target as it will make you think of many of the little things that easly cost you points that you can ill afford to lose.

Good book
After returning to competitive archery post a 25 year break, I found this book to be very helpful. Competitive archery is 90% mental and 10% equipment. Mr. Dorigatti prepares you for building your shot process and also teaches you to be as he terms "proactive". This will help you not only fix problems, it fixes them before they can happen. I am not sure this book would be the best choice for the absolute novice but if you have decided to shoot competitively, I can highly recommend this book.

The Book That Keeps on Teaching
Equipment, technique, form, Tom covers it all. I have had this book for several years now and every time I open it up I learn something new, or more fully understand what Tom is saying. It is jam packed full of information that you would take years to learn on your own, if ever! This guy really knows his stuff and gives various ways to do things. It's not just my way or the highway. But his way is really understandable and repeatable. Archery is all about being consistent, but there are some ways that are easier to be consistent than others. This book is amazing and I can't say enough good things about it. It's like having a mentor tell you all the inside info about archery.Buy it!

Not a how to do, but a how to approach book.
This book isn't just all the same recycled how to setup your shot and execute back tension archery book. Tom walks you through what you may or may not be doing right, and discusses ways to break your problem down, focus on them, and correct them.He has setup the book to not need to be read from beginning to end, but you can focus on the chapter you want to read. This does result in repeated material, but that just makes this book more valuable due to the fact you can refer back to chapters without having to look up information in other chapters. There are specific experiences he shares that have helped me with my shooting. He is detailed about how to record various metrics on your bow to ensure you are not trying to fix something that is really a change in your bow.I'm benefiting from his advice to keep an archery journal to detail issues I'm having, as well as successes. I'm also much more focused in my practice sessions as instead of just flinging a bunch of arrows, I'm approaching it with a plan.I don't know that there is anything ground breaking in the book, but there is a lifetime of archery experience in it that allows the reader to learn without having had to shoot for years. That is the true great thing about this book. Tom Dorigatti has presented his archery experiences for anyone to consume and more importantly, learn from. No small feat.Let it float, and shoot the shot!

Great book for the dedicated archer and those that want to know more about archery!
This book is geared more toward the serious, and dedicated archer. It is not so much about how to shoot a bow, but what to do to make it shoot better and more consistently with a little preparation. This book helps to prevent a miscue with your equipment and to prepare you for a "what to do now", when such a problem occurs. The book is sometimes repetitive but the author warns you ahead of time that this is intentional so that his point is driven home. The book is HUGE and has tons of great information in it.Tom Dorigatti is an accomplished archer himself and knows of what he writes on paper. This is one of my more favorite books related to archery!

ProActive Archery
Proactive Archery is a great book whether you are a beginner or an expert archer. Tom does a good job of teaching you how to set up your bow and keep track so you maintain consistency in your shooting. Excellent tips and advice that are not always shared by archers are provided for you. I find this is an easy read and you don't necessarily have to read from first page to last, it is put together so you can search the topic you are interested in and read up on it. I find myself using this as a reference since I have received it.ProActive Archery

ProActive Archery book by Tom Dorigatti
Tom's knowledge of archery and his passion for sharing makes ProActive Archery one of the most informative books I've read on archery in my 17 years of enjoying archery. I'm know Tom from internet forums and always paid attention and learned from him. Oftentimes when you've been in a sport as long as I have, you get complacent of wanting to learn new things... but ive learned 3 new things that have helped me aim steadier and I haven't even completed the book yet!! Can't wait to get all the way thru it.. Good work Tom, thanks for sharing such great information!! Bart Shortall Denton MD

Great book full of useful information and tips. My only complaint would be its size. All 550 pages.
