Works great with Nikon 300/f4 AF-S
I notice how the price of this item swings up and down. I paid about 110USD and I find it fantastic value for money. First I tried it on my 55-200VR, but it did not autofocus. Now I am using it on my 300/f4 AF-S and it works like a charm (Nikon d5000, mostly birds and animal photography). I have not noticed any reduction in AF speed or any downgrade in image sharpness or colors. I have done lots of parallel tests with/without the converter and cropping the images to the same scale. The converter cause a clear improvement compared to a cropped image without converter. With a 300/f4 it is for daytime use in rather good weather conditions allowing enough light as it makes the lens slower, in cloudy weather too slow for fast moving objects (e.g. birds rapidly turning their heads). It is not the fault of the converter, just physics. On a good modern camera it can be compensated with higher ISO to some extent, but at these situations (morning, evening, or bad weather) I prefer to use the lens without converter and crop (I prefer a more pixely image over one with lack of sharpness due to object movement or camera shake). The AF hunts more with the converter than without when chasing flying objects. However, that is to be expected. There is a slight play between the converter and the camera that occasionally causes an interruption of the AF function. It has happened only rarely to me, but can be annoying. Thus a reduction of one star allthough considering the price difference to the Nikon equivalent (which I assume has no such play).Otherwise a great product!

Kenko 1.4X Teleplus a great addition
This multiplier was purchased for a very specific purpose. I went on safari in Africa and knew I would want to get closer shots than my conventional or 75-300mm lens. Due to weight and space limitations for travel as well as cost limitations, another telephoto was not an option. The Kenko also provided the direct coupling for autofocus, auto-exposure and stability of the Nikon. On the safari, I got great pictures even handheld. I took several thousand pictures many using the Teleplus and my telephoto together. It proved a great addition to my camera bag and provided great pictures, many of professional quality. I would not have these memories without the Teleplus! The pictures are clear and sharp beyond expectations.I recommend it!

Adequate for Most Needs
Sure, I would rather have the $500 Nikon version, but this Kenko teleconverter is perfectly adequate. I only use this on my longest lens, a 150-500mm Sigma. The photos I have taken (with a tripod of course) appear clear and sharp to my eye. That's good enough for me and I like that the Kenko allows for electronic communication between the lens and my D800e camera body. Unless you are shooting with ultra-premium glass, I think this teleconverter will satisfy that craving for a little extra reach.

Works well
I bought the Kenko 1.4 Teleplus to use with a Sigma 500 mm zoom lens on a Nikon D80. I am not a pro, it worked fine for me trying to shoot pics of Snowy Egrets, spoonbills and Owls. With the right settings I did not have a problem with noise and pictures were clear. I am now using it with the Sigma on a Nikon D7100 with good results.

Kenko 1.4X
I am still learning how to use this tele-convertor. I find that it causes a lot of noise with the lenses I have tried to use it with. Part of it may be my inexperience but there were not a lot of instructions with it either.

The Kenko 1.4 teleplus is a great way to get double duty from some of your lenses. At 1.4 my lenses still auto focus and meter just fine.

Works well with the Sigma 120-400mm I purchased it for. As always, need to work with manual focus as auto struggles

Nervous purchase but not disappointed
Nervous about buying something so cheap but couldn't afford more. Felt a bit lightweight and plasticky when it arrived but felt failrly solid as I put it onto the camera with a nice positive action. Having low expectations I've been really happy with the results with good light levels available.I've attached some photos - bear in mind they are uncropped, about 10m to subject and shot through a window (stuck indoors in wheelchair). Also attached one taken indoors with flash (the clock face).Taken on my Nikon D5300 with a 70-300mm tamron telephoto, fully automatic programme with a fairly high ISO (chosen by camera).Gave it 5 stars not really because of it's performance but more because of its performance at this price.

Not good
Right so, I have purposely waited to review this.I'm a beauty photographer that shoots lipart, I have a 105mm and wanted a bit more reach without spending ยฃ1000+ on another lens. How ever this does have its flaws that makes it frustrating and unusable. Its hard to focus, it jumps about and its 3x longer to focus and in that mean time the model has moved.I feel I've wasted my money on a test.

good buy
This works very well with Nikon 3200 and Sigma 70-300. Autu focus at all focus lengths and fast auto focus at that. Very satisfied with this and achieving good clear sharp results

Works better than expected.
used on a Nikon D3300 with sigma 70-300mm and sigma 150-600mm lens, I have not really noticed the loss of 1 fstop although I do usually only use it in fairly good light. Has good autofocus with both lenses with only a slight loss of clarity. Overall good value for the money.
