Greatest Metal Album EVER
I haven't compared it to the original to see if "remastered" is legit, but it sounds great, I DO have some 80's 90's cd's that sound weak... this doesn't seem that way. I'm sure if your looking at this review your just curious about the quality NOT the album itself, cuz u probably already know this is a flawless musical masterpiece! I had this cranked every morning on my walkman taking the bus to school, I've had the album, tape, cd. If your new to Metallica, get this. BUY.IT.NOW! U will understand why they are who they are; GODS, #1 of "The Big Four" (which SHOULD include Testament!) Songs are so well crafted, guitars are pure-metal-power, drums are solid. Last album b4 we lost Cliff, but my god... way to go out on a high note! For me the stepping stones of metal are Black Sabbath "masters of reality", then this album.. Kyuss "blues for the red sun".. still waiting on the next perfect album... Killswitch Engage got close with "the end of heartache"

Beethoven gone heavy/trash metal
"Master of Puppets" is the best heavy metal album of all time. It is heavy, fast, complex, melodic, and intellectual. The best way to describe it is by the title of the review, "Beethoven gone heavy/trash metal."Just like we talk about Beethoven and his symphonies 200 years later, we will do so about "Master of Puppets." By this album alone, the legacy of Metallica and James Hetfield is sealed forever. Its only downside is that the song "the thing that should not be" it really should not have been included ... providing clues to Metallica's inconsistencies that became apparent in the future.Fortunately or unfortunately, due to his heaviness, "Master of Puppets" will never go mainstream. But hey, how many folks listen routinely to demigods like Beethoven, Mozart, and Schubert? If you like heavy rock, you can’t go through life without listening and comprehending MoP’s genius and beauty.
