Do you apply this morning and night or just nightly?

When I was using this, I applied it nightly. Because this is technically a chemical exfoliant you don't want to use it during the daytime.

Is it normal that this smells similar to lemon juice?

Yes, but the toner smells more like mild peppermint, which I find pleasant.
