The ZEBRA GK420d Direct Thermal Desktop Printer can print receipts and has a optional cutter that can be used to cut the paper between prints. You will need to use the Zebra designer software for this printer to work.

Q: Can you use any brand labels or do they need to be Zebra brand?

Any brand label is ok as long as it is compatible with this printer.

Q: Could I use this printer with regular roll paper if the dimensions are the same? Labels are relatively expensive.

Don't believe you can. When I was looking for "Direct Thermal" labels, I had to find that specifically. Just know that this printer doesn't have a ink cartridge. It burns the information onto the label. It's really fast too. If you try the labelvalue.com, they are pretty cheap. The guy I replaced at this position used this printer for about 6 years and it was still functioning well. That's why I chose it. Let me know if you have any other questions.
