Eases my tendinitis
I have had painful tendinitis (tennis elbow) for several months and finally figured out my "mousing" was a large contributor thereto. Accordingly, I searched for a vertical mouse and this mouse pad showed up in my searches. I like it. And it's cheaper than all those fancy mice.Because of it's design, I can use it with either hand, thus alleviating the constant use/strain on just one side. I tried a vertical mouse, but my hand was still slightly over rotated and the one I got just had too much play in it, thus necessitating a large amount of real estate on the keyboard tray. With this mouse pad, my arm is in a far more neutral position and I can use any mouse that feels comfortable. Note that the outside edge of your hand, vs. your arm or wrist, will rest on the bottom edge of the mouse pad. If you have any carpal tunnel or tendinitis, you probably don't want any pressure on your wrist as that is likely a causative factor. So, this mouse pad is great in that way.Note that it may not fit under your desk on a pull-out keyboard tray. It just fits by a hair under mine, but individual setups may make a difference. My measurements of the item are 7 3/4" long/5" wide (including the "kickstand")/4 1/8" tall. If you're handy, you could probably make one of these yourself, but why? They've done a great job with the design. It's sturdy, is covered with nice, foam mouse pad material, and has a little rolled bumper to keep the mouse in place on the mouse pad when not in use. It does take a little bit of getting used to moving the mouse on the vertical mouse pad, but I've been using it for 2-3 weeks now and have noticed a great improvement in my tendinitis.

Actually Very Small
I had high hopes for the Vertical Mouse Pad Mai’s Deck. The design idea is great and would have allowed me to continue to use my current mouse. The padding fits really well except for the top piece. The padding also cuts out the side of a bare piece of wood. The the tube for the mouse to sit on is a great idea. The padding along the top for the side of a hand is great too. I truly love the thoughtfulness and design of this product. Sadly, I am returning it for two reasons:1.) The padding along the top already appears to be falling apart. I am concerned the top would continue to shred if brushed over when positioning my hand or the repeating lift and movement of the mouse. (The rest of the stand does not show any wear or rubbed areas. The build and design otherwise appear they would hold up to daily use very well.)2.) Unfortunately the 3” diagonal slide area for the mouse is too small to get a curser across the screen. The 3” diagonal piece is the biggest reason for the return.- This product is not made for a regular size mouse. I use a regular side mouse (two types are shown in picture, regular size plain mouse and a typically size multi-button mouse). I also tried it with a laptop mouse, and I was still unable to move the curser from one side of the screen to the other.- I had to lift the mouse repeatedly in order to read my mail. I cannot imagine wanting to continually lift and reposition the mouse when looking through websites.- I thought this vertical mouse pad would be portable as well for when working in another area.Note: I had considered changing the x-y on the mouse, however, this would make it awkward when using another’s work computer since they would have standard x-y setup.

Relieved wrist pain
My mouse wrist was hurting with a regular gaming mouse. I didn't want to give up my gaming mouse due the games I play as it has all those extra buttons. After some searching I found this product. It takes some time to get used to how the mouse is on the pad. My wrist pain is very much reduced!
