effective
filter works to keep dust and debris from blowing into room. However, pegs did not work with design of fan. Solved problem by using clothes pins, so suggest replace the pegs included in the filter package with clip ons instead. Otherwise a very effective filter for the box fan.

Clips to Attach Filter Is Useless
The plastic screws they sell as clips to attach the filter to the fan are just more trash you'll have to throw away. It's a pain to have to tape this cloth to the fan. I have concerns about whether the tape will even hold.

Buyer Beware (Mounting hardware is useless) buy a roll of 3M Double sided tape. ($1.50)
I placed this filter on the intake side of a Merv 13 filter which I attached to my 20" Hurricane box fan. I mounted the filter & Fan filter with 3M double sided tape as the mounting tabs they give you don't work unless you want to drill holes in your fan housing? You then get a few bungee cords to mount the whole filter assembly to the fan. I placed a remote to the fan with a 7 day timer and it comes on/off everyday as programmed. Reduces the dust in the room.I suggest if not doing what I did above just get a roll of 3M double sided tape and lay the frontside of the fan down on the floor or counter then stick the tape on the perimeter of the fan case. Then carefully place the Allergen filter onto the backside of the fan and press down around the tape to hold it in place. I guess you could use velcro but I found it cheaper to just use the double sided tape. Best to Ya!

Great product
I can't believe I didn't order these sooner. Excellent product! Highly recommended and can be washed gently and reused.

Not really reusable
It is exactly what I thought it would be and I am happy with it. The instructions indicate its washable, though with how easy it rips, i would think it just break apart in a machine.I highly recommend you test the 'locking plugs' to figure out what wholes you want them to go threw, the box fan I have, has different sizes so most dont lock. I installed mine with the fan on and that helped keep it in place. It cuts the air flow of my box fan in about half, but I think it will allow the machine to last longer do to the cat hair I have. I do plan on repurchasing once these are dirtied up.

Catches cat hair and dust!
Catches the cat hair and dust floating around., adding life to my new fans. I have allergies and these are a big help in my home.

It's just quilt batting and some velcro tabs.
Very disappointed. When I got this product I realized it was two pieces of quilt batting with some velcro tabs to hold it on. It would be so much cheaper to buy a roll of quilt battling. Not sure if it works to keep the dust off as I just bought it. But I will not be buying this product again.

Get it
Before I got this I was duct taping an air filter to my box fan LOLThe filters provided become dingy after a few uses and washes so I’ve stopped using them. But I use the clip pieces to attach more legit AC filters without tape.
