I broke my wrist in a fall while playing with my grandchild. i was casted from fingers up to my shoulder. After using a plastic kitchen trash bag, which my spouse tied around my neck, our nephew told us about cast covers for showering/bathing. i found this on Amazon and received it in 2 days. It has been great to use, after the first time when I needed help from my spouse to stretch the diaphram which seals against skin above cast to keep any moisture away from cast. I was told by ortho tech who put on my cast that should it get wet, the cast would have to be replaced. After the first use, I can now put it on alone, unassisted. My young, under 3 years old, grandson had hand surgery last week and has a cast covering his fingers and up to his shoulder. He loves his daily bath, so I ordered him the toddler size sleeve. He resisted having it put on the first time, but the second time--once he understood what it was, he ran to get it so he couldtake his bath. Two generations are VERY pleased with this product. I shared my 'sleeve box' with a friend yesterday who's daughter was in an auto accident and is now in an arm cast using a plastic bag to shower!

As others have written, this is a high quality product that seems likely to last a long time. The seal is very tight. That means it takes a bit of effort to get over a cast, but I managed on my own without too much trouble. The plastic is heavy gauge, which makes it a bit difficult to hold onto things like soap, so be aware of that. Altogether, this was a good investment and I recommend it.

I got this arm cover to cover my long arm cast while I went on a 5hr river float. It worked great! I definitely pushed it’s limits! Spent probably an hour actually in the water, it was definitely submerged, and some water got in, but the extra space in the elbow area collected the water and around my hand was the only part that got wet. The seal at the top is VERY tight, so I would just pull it down around the top of the cast to relieve the pressure while I was in my float.I did need help getting it on, again because the top piece was pretty tight.

Works amazing for my sons long armed cast. We were going through too many trash bags trying to cover his cast and this is perfect for him to shower alone with not help or stress from his cast getting wet

This thing is TIGHT but that is great because it does it's job. My husband had surgery and has a splint & bandage going from his wrist to right under his armpit and this covered the whole thing. (Tall dude, long arms). I put it on him the first time and it wasn't too hard but was scraping the rubber across all his arm hair. He has put it on himself since then (and with his non-dominate hand) and has no issues. He'll need to use it for about 2 weeks and there's no way he could have showered without it. Plastic wrap was not an option.

So this may work better with an actual cast instead of a splint! I put it on and while showering it was so tight it started hurting! But then trying to take it off...so so painful! Wound up cutting it off because it was making my entire splint come loose trying to get it off over it!

The product is sufficient for its purpose, compared to other alternatives. However, how is one suppose to insert their arm or leg without the product causing pain? Still not 100% waterproof. Quite ridiculous if one is independent and will have to use product by him/her self. Could’ve created something more viable for its purpose given the technology around.

my son broke his arm and this has made bathing and showering Easy. It is a tight fit getting the casted arm in but once that is done- it is sealed off completely from the water. Creat quality. Love it!!
