I keep this in my freezer and my freezer smells like lavendar all the time. It does have a strong scent, especially right at first, but I've had it for several months now and the scent has faded a little so it isn't so strong, but it is still nice and relaxing. What is really great is the pain relief this provides. As has been noted in other posts, the cold doesn't last a real long time, probably 20 to 30 minutes, but it isn't so freezing cold that you can't have direct contact with skin. I use it for my fibromyalgia and migraines. It is much better if you put the word side towards the skin, instead of the soft side on the skin. It is really a great pack, and I've tried pretty much all the packs out there. I don't use this one for heat. I have a different pack I use for that. I just use this one for cold, but for cold, in my humble opinion, it can't be beat.

I have not had other products like this so I don't have anything to compare it too. I do know that this is exactly what I needed for work. I had neck surgery 14 years ago (herniated disc) so often my shoulder will flare up. I like to ice or use heat and this wrap is perfect. It fits nicely on my shoulders and I can warm it up or put it in the freezer. I have a routine that each night I put it in the freezer and wear it around my shoulders on my way to work (after the gym). Then if my shoulder is bothering me at work I will put it in the microwave for 90 minutes and it helps relax the muscle. I keep it in my backpack that I take too and from work and it is always where I need it to be. Much better priced than other wraps like this I was researching.

I have ordered two of these products. One for the shoulders and one that includes the back of the neck. I keep them inthe freezer during the day, and leave them out at night after I had use them so that I can use them "warm" in the morning. I place them in the microwave as recommended, and in the a.m. use them while I have breakfast. They areso soothing for my muscles. The orthopedic clinic I go to recommended for my needs, cool in the afternoon/eveningsand warm in the mornings. This recommendation was just for me, for my needs. One thing I need to address, the lightfragrance of lavender that was welcomed, as the time goes by, it diminishes a little. But they still do the job.

I was so excited to receive my “ heating buddy “ the lavender scent was great at first now when it’s warmed the scent no longer smells of lavender, the sz is kind small for a large, Heats nicely ! Keeps the he heat for maybe 30 min. It’s nice but really not a 5 star rating…..

If I could give this no stars I would. I have used herbal microwave packs for years and this is the very first one that o have found to be bad!!! It takes forever to get hot, doesn’t get hot enough, and then cools off way to fast!! I decided to try this one which is significantly more expensive than the others I bought because I liked the neck design... but because of the fleece fabric on one side it does not get hot and stay hot!!! Don’t waste your money!!

My wife just had shoulder surgery and has to wear a sling. This causes neck and upper back pain. The neck/shoulder heat therapy pack has help reduce this pain and stiffness allowing her to rest and sleep better. The pack is well constructed, comfortable and comes easy to follow instructions.

I was visiting a friend and she wrapped one of these over my shoulders. I was hooked. Came home and bought it for myself. It feels great and smells nice too

This is a wonderful product. I had to leave it out because the lavender fragrance was too strong. Now when I use it , it is perfect either warmed or cooled. It is pretty and fits my neck or shoulder nicely. I am very happy with this product.

Purchased for therapeutic use. Product very well made, perfect weight and the lavender is lovely (but strong, if you don't like lavender? a LOT? steer clear) 1 year Warranty is a bonus. Unfortunately , the illustrations are somewhat misleading and this product does not cover enough of the shoulders. Plenty of previous reviews mention this but...read more, spend less ? Manufacturer should either change the description/illustrations or revamp the product to properly cover the shoulders. A 'back bib' of sorts would be wonderful. If you have neck issues? This bag is PERFECT. Might want to pass however, if you are looking for shoulder relief because this one isn't going to cover that.

This is just as advertised. I am going thru a period of severe shoulder and neck pain and it’s great. It sits comfortably on my shoulders. Nothing to fasten around the neck to make it uncomfortable.To heat they say 90 seconds. I have a smaller microwave so found I had to heat it at least 2 min to feel the heat when I put it on.

This thing is comfortable and well made and retains heat well, however,It is so overly scented with clove and lavender that it ruined my microwave. Cannot get the smell out.stinks every time it’s been used. And I cannot wear it longer than a few minutes before getting a headache from the overly strong smells.Why this was intentionally made like this is baffling.

Everything about the style and weight is perfect, heats up evenly. But, the smell is almost unbearable! I’m still using it because of the good qualities and hope that over time the smell will disappear

Smells good but way to heavy for someone with neck pain. Also the heat doesnt stay enough
