Hello, This would not be a good choice since this is an air activated cooling system... meaning it needs air flow over and through the vest to cool. Many mascots use phase change vests which have inserts that stay cold for hours and do not require air flow..... I live in fl and i have a lot of work to do outside my home , the sun is terrible , can i use thi to cool me down ?

I use mine for golf and at times it is 110 degree while playing and it works great. You may have to re-soak it a couple of times as I do for 18 holes.

How is it worn? Over clothing, under clothing?

The Hyperkewl vests rely on evaporative cooling to work so they must be worn over clothing. We recommend thin clothing such as t-shirts or one layer cloth shirts for maximum benefit. If the vest is placed under clothing it just feels like a damp shirt next to the skin and it won't provide much cooling as it is harder for the vest to evaporate if it is underneath anything. How heavy is this wet?

It is surprisingly not weighed down, heavy and wet feeling. I don’t know how this fabric works, but the water doesn’t drench the vest, yet it makes it feel cool.
