We love it!
This is an extremely well designed, well made product and the company is wonderful to work with for customer service. We have had our jogger for a couple of weeks now, and it is perfect for our spondylosis stricken border collie (50 pounds). We use it for both jogging and walking, on paved and unpaved trails. (The latter are flat rail-to-trail type trails, not too rough.) Our dog can walk or jog for a while, and when he seems to feel uncomfortable he goes right in for a little break. After a going a bit farther, he sometimes acts like he wants to come out again, and gets another little stretch of exercise. This jogger is beautiful, strong, and easy to use. The wheels and handle pop off easily for storage in our SUV, and we could also easily break down the crate part if we wanted to put it in a smaller vehicle. We also purchased the bike kit, but have not yet used it. Customer service has been great for this product. I accidentally lost the little bolt that locks the front wheel into jogger mode and wanted to buy a new one. They graciously offered a free replacement right away. Another question I had about the alignment of the front wheel was also promptly and courteously answered. Since I would have gladly given this 10 stars instead of 5, the following negative points do not change my rating of this product at all. We looked at several other large-dog strollers and there is just no comparison for quality and features. We are so grateful that such a superior item exists in the world that I would never want to discourage the company or customers by making the following observations/suggestions. First, the instructions are somewhat vague and a YouTube video would be a great solution. Second, the reflector pieces for the back of the jogger do not have screw threads in the plastic; you have to carve them yourself with the screws using vice grips and it is NOT easy. My husband ended up taking care of that after my tools slipped while I was trying to force it and I injured my hand badly. My own fault, but I wish they would install the reflectors or send some that are easier to install. Third, I agree with others here who would like a brake on each side, but I don't feel like it's a big deal because we just wedge one foot against the second wheel and it is stable enough. But I can see how a less mobile dog would make a second brake useful. What actually bugs me is that the little red rubber cap for the brake keeps slipping off. We'll get a bit of glue on there sometime when I'm remembering it but I wish the manufacturers had done so. This really is a fantastic product. It is pricey but you get what you pay for and this thing is rock solid! Thank you Dutch Dog for making our lives better.

Almost perfect.
I try to wait before writing my reviews until I have had a chance to use the product for a while. I have only had the DoggyRide for a couple of months, but winter is approaching so it will not get much more use until spring. PROS: Quality product and workmanship, for the most part. Easy assembly. DoggyRide customer service is fantastic. A real person will answer the phone or email promptly. The dogs LOVE it! CONS: The back door. The zippers. No place to store jogging wheel or trailer tow bar when opposite is in use. No tie down rings on the floor of the cart. Let me explain my CONS. I (and the dogs) do not like the back door with the storage pocket. There is NO window, or screen of any sort in the back door so the dogs do not have a 360 view. The back door is to be used for loading and unloading - if you have water bottles, or anything else in the pocket it will likely fall out when you lift the door. Unless you take everything out of the pocket, you cannot leave the back door open for the dogs to enter and exit at will. There are no other storage pockets on the cart for putting water bottles, or anything else. If there were some storage pockets on the sides this would eliminate many of these issues, but as designed, it is a pain in the butt. The zippers do not operate smoothly, especially on the back door. It almost always requires two hands to zip. Not ideal when juggling everything and three dogs. I called customer service to ask about stowing the jogging wheel when using as a trailer and was told the idea was to use the pocket in the back door! I have not tried to force the wheel in there. To me, that is not a viable option, especially since this is the ONLY storage pocket on the cart. Likewise, if you are using the cart as a stroller, there is no designated place to store the trailer tow bar on the cart. It would seem that a way to attach these to the bottom of the cart would not have been too difficult to manufacture. There are two rings on the ceiling and one strap included. When I looked at the manual, on doggyride's website, prior to purchase - it stated there was also two tie down rings in the floor. There are no tie down rings in the floor. I should mention that I purchased the jogging stroller and then added the trailer tow kit in a separate purchase. I do like the cart, and the dogs love it. It pulls very nicely behind the trike and folds nicely for storage. I did contemplate returning it because of the CONS mentioned above but the dogs excitement in going for a ride was enough for me to keep it.

Pit Bull Approved Dog Stroller!
I just got this so I will update this down the road after we use it more but for now, me and my dog absolutely love it. Assembly - not hard, getting the crossbar up was the hardest part only because it was new, the fabric was super tight. But it was doable. The wheels were easy. The hand brake had no directions, just line up the holes and you'll figure it out on the left hand side. The stroller height for pushing - at the top notch it's perfect for me, I am 5'9" and I remember strollers that are short, such a pain. This is perfect for me and my feet don't hit the back of it at all. I could jog with it. Now for the dog, a 70 pound pit bull ... she walked alongside it for the 1.5 miles out to our levee so she was used to it, then her shoulder was aching and I opened up the back, tossed in a treat (set the brake, I wish there was one on the right side too) and she hopped right in. Popped her head out the top and we were off. I didn't need to use the cross-strap restraint but it's there and well made. She loved it. Went around the small lake and at the water fountain she got out and drank and then right back in. The return trip home was a breeze, easy to steer, push and navigate the sidewalks and dirt path too. Once we got home, I unzipped the bottom half of the screen and she just lounged in there looking out until I told her to get out. I'd say this is a huge hit and will be put to good use for those long walks. Can't wait to take it camping, it's nice that it doubles as a crate. Quite roomy.

Glad I made this purchase
Love this product. My dog has been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and her walks are now limited to 5-10 minutes..yet, she wants to continue her walks so to prevent her from injuring her back, we continue our walks by using the stroller. Initially, she was very hesistant with it...and would try her best to jump out being she'd prefer to walk. WIth the great zipper down back entrance and also, the zipper down front screen, she is unable to jump out. After a few uses, it's pretty clear she's much more comfortable and seems to be enjoying the free ride. THe only problem I see with the stroller is the looseness of the front wheel..tends to wobble at times..other than that, this is a great and well-made product. As long as my dog is happy, I'm happy :)

Impossible to assemble
I have no clue how to put this thing together. There is no instruction for brake installation, the fabric is covering the holes where the handle is supposed to be attached. Completely defective, and I have to pay shipping to return it, so Iโm now out 400 bucks. Not happy!

Best unit I've found, but still needs some improvements
This is the best stroller I've looked at. That said, there's definitely room for improvement. PROS: - sturdy - convenient for flat, concrete/dirt trails - folds down to put into back of vehicle - most of the components are high quality CONS: - needs an additional 4-6 inches of length (too short for my Golden Retriever mix) - a pain to push up/down hills more than 5-10% grade - needs hand brakes - takes several minutes to set up - some items are flimsy/difficult to manipulate TIPS: - get some rubber bands to replace the cheap plastic hooks for the pegs - keep some binder clips on hand for securing the flaps open - buy a tire pump and a bike lock to keep with your stroller - avoid the expensive padding: cut down an old bed or egg crate to fit

good quality
I adopted Old Dog when she was 5 or 6, a depressed little thing who'd stopped eating. She's been my faithful running companion for almost 7 years now, helping me train for trail marathons, protecting me against predators real and imagined on our road runs. But she is getting on in years now, she gets tired more easily, but she doesn't want me to leave her behind. I want a stroller that I can run with. I want a good quality product that I don't have to hassle much with. This fits the bill. I run w. Old Dog til she gets tired, then she hops in. She's not too thrilled about being in the stroller, she'd rather be out sniffing and marking her territory, so I use the ties in the stroller and leave the mesh unzipped so Her Majesty can survey her world. I can run 7'ish miles with this thing with little hassle so I am happy. Old Dog weighs about 65'ish. Her sister Old Labby, who is 10-11, loves to take her turn in it. She weighs about 80'ish, maybe. Heads up...there is a known manufacturing defect you have to be aware of. DR will take care of it, you just have to realize it is not a design flaw. On my second run the front wheel, which I leave unlocked, started to wobble something terrible. I thought it was from going over the seams on the sidewalk but nope. It rapidly worsened til it was constantly wobbling/vibrating and pretty darned hard to steer. I contacted DR and they apologized, sent out a replacemt wheel, sent me a prepaid shipping label to return the defective part to them for autopsy, and we're good to go now. The warranty is for five years. I did tell them that I'd bought it "used" from Amazon warehouse. They said they didn't care, I was covered, just contact them if anything came up. I was lucky, I scored a "used" stroller fr Amazon warehouse. The box was beat up but the stroller looked brand new and never previously assembled. One "could be improved" design feature I've observed is that the handle is not rigidly fixed to the stroller. i.e. it wobbles/wiggles a bit. So some energy is wasted since your push is not efficiently transferred to the stroller. Not a huge thing and DH is chewing on some possible fixes. Also, get the memory foam cushion. Your dog will appreciate the shock absorption. LOL, I didn't spend this much on my kids' strollers. But I'm willing to spend the money if I can get a well made product, a co. that stands behind its product, and it gets the job done with minimal hassle. One last thought. I have nightmares that the stroller might get away from me with The Queen inside. I run the dogs with a waist leash (Ruffwear Roamer). When The Queen hops in, I tie the dog end of the leash to the stroller handle. Update 4/30/15: We are using this stroller almost daily now. Old Mutt is very sensitive to the heat nowadays and we've been having a lot of that lately in So Cal. I truly appreciate how well made and how easy to steer this stroller is. We've tricked it out a bit: I attach a couple of old collars to the handles (too cheapo to buy "Mommy Hooks") and use those to attach carabiners to. Then I attach a water bottle, collapsible bowl, and a bag to hold a spray bottle. The mutts love it when I mist them down in the heat. Old Mutt likes to turn around and survey her world from the back of the stroller, so I attach the back flap to the plastic rain flap (which is rolled up) with a binder clip. We did five miles in the heat today, and she got to hop in and out a few times, she'll walk a bit and then I push her while she rests up, and then out she hops again. Old Mutt is a stubborn goat, she fought this when I first got it and had to stuff her in with bribes and threats. But I think she realizes now that we can go farther and she won't get left behind this way, so she has learned to like her stroller. If I can figure out how I will try to upload some pics.

Life changer for our Aussie
DoggyRide has given our old Australian Shepherd a new lease on life! As he has aged, our dog has had to walk fewer miles with us daily. Now he's back to going all over town and country with us. We had to show him how to get into the stroller exactly once; the back is low enough for him to negotiate on his own most of the time. We always set the brake, hold the handle, and remain ready to assist our dog in entering/exiting the stroller if he needs it. We tuck a spare leash, doggy bags, and water bottles into the rear pockets, and away we go. Since purchasing this product less than a month ago, our dog has become somewhat more energetic, most days walking about 20% further on his own. When he is riding in the stroller, he is interested and engaged in the passing surroundings. The stroller is lightweight and steers easily. We have no trouble going over curbs, grassy areas at the park, and wider single track rural paths. Our 52 pound dog has plenty of room. The ride appears to be very smooth and comfortable for him, perhaps due to the air filled tires. The product took about an hour to assemble, most of which could be done by one person. It appears well constructed; the fabric is sturdy and all the zippers operate smoothly and easily. We appreciate the padded handle. We have not yet used the product as a bike trailer. Like many dogs, our Aussie just wants to be with his people all the time. He quickly figured out that the DoggyRide meant that he wasn't going to be left at home as much. We initially hesitated at the purchase price for this product, however seeing our dog's increased energy and enjoyment every day makes this one of the most worthwhile purchases we have ever made for our best friend! Thank you DoggyRide!
