Missing parts
This is a how to book for tying shoes. Unfortunately the book did not come with the laces like description said.

Had to do some work to this to improve it's condition.
I had to add my own ties to the book, but it was at a used price.

We love it
We got this book from a friend several years ago, when we were trying to teach our autistic young son to tie shoes. He had no interest into tying shoes so we gave up after a while and decided to just buy shoes that were easier for him, like slip on or velcro shoes. Our son is now a teenager and velcro shoes are not quite a choice these days. He still has fine motor, or rather, hand-eye coordination delays, and it's hard for him to complete easy tasks such as tying shoes, or cutting his food. However, recently I "rediscovered" the book and started working with him at home, and he sure enough picked up really quick! It's been a couple of weeks and he's been able to pass the laces through, then make bunny ears and tie a knot in it. Some time he will even try the wrap around the bunny ear instead of the two. He has much more patience and he is enjoying being successful with such simple help like this book has been. He reads the story and then tie the bow on the page, then moves on to the next page. It's so great to see him happy to succeed. I would definitely reccommend this book to anyone with young kids that have little patience and older kids with fine motor delays that want to do things on their own. :)

Fantastic book for helping toddlers to learn how to tie their shoes
I bought this book when my son was trying to learn how to tie his shoes. It was absolutely PERFECT, as it told a great story and made it more of a game.

Bunny ears method
I was trying to find a way to teach the method I use, and thought this taught that. Still haven't found one. They all teach bunny ears, and I can't get my fingers to do that, so I can't teach a child to do it.

Tying My Shoes is Fun
After spending some time trying to teach my 3 year old how to tie his shoes. I found "Tie A Bow, Ben Bunny". Shortly after we got this book he was not only tying his shoes but begging to tie mine as well. This is a sturdy book, it has very colorful laces which makes learning how to tie fun. The child will need to know right from left for this book. It teaches using the bunny ear method(loop to loop). What a great book:)
