Q: 1st time buyer. I almost accidentally bought the shaker for cooking. Are theses the ones to flavor your water?

They can be used in anything you would real lime or lemon in. I would sprinkle in recipes all the time and they are basically the same taste as the real thing. My 5 year old loves them on his already cooked fish and chicken. I would sprinkle them in my ice water but there is no other ingredients like sweeteners like other water flavor additive. I just love these!!! Actually, just ran out so I'm going for the bulk size next time.

Q: can anyone tell me if I'd be able to scopp it with a tiny spoon instead of shake it can tell in the pictures.

On the 10.6 oz container the lid is split. One side opens for spoon use, the other to shake. Also, the lid is a screw top so it can be removed if needed.

Q: Is there any sugar in these?

Yes! The 2nd ingredient in the orange ginger is sugar. 😕 The other 4 are safe.

Q: how are you all using the Orange ginger?

I use it in a vinaigrette--good on salads or as a marinade for chicken. My favorite method is to use La Tourangelle roasted walnut oil and Trader Joe's Orange Muscat Champagne vinegar. It's also good sprinkled in a glass of ginger ale.
