Beautiful mic but sounds terrible **UPDATED**
**UPDATED** May 2nd 2020After spending a week with the Mdrill and most importantly getting to compare it to the Blue Snowball, which I bought to replace this since I hated the sound so much, I completely changed my mind on my initial rating.I have updated my review to 5 stars because my single biggest issue was the sound quality was horrendous originally. I found out (to my embarrassment) that I originally set up the mic backwards. The front is the side with the mute and sound mode button. I originally thought the side with the gain and headphone volume knobs were the front, but it is indeed the back. Secondly, the hissing I was hearing was actually my A/C in the background and since I had the gain fairly high it was picking everything up. I went into my OBS settings and placed some noise compression and suppression filters and it removed all the background noise. With these changes the sound quality sounds great but my voice is still higher and less rich than on the Blue Snowball. However the reason why I give it 5 stars is the Blue Snowball while I sounds slightly better, it has no gain knob, no headphone jack, and only cardiod and omnidirectional recording, and feels super cheap. The Mdrill on the other hand has all the features of a Blue Yeti and feels premium and looks awesome with its color LED ring on the bottom. Plus the little things like they have a super long braided USBC cord that came with it that just helps to add to his overall premium feel. For the money I spent, this mic is absolutely 5 stars!**Original Post below**I just bought this mic after doing a lot of research and at first glance it looks like an amazing deal, especially because the mic itself looks beautiful and besides the plastic stand which I hate it looks extremely well built. I cannot express how unhappy I am with the sound quality of this mic. I was using my iPhone 8 Plus for all my web streaming video and sound and the mic was the one thing I really needed to upgrade. I horrified me to find out that the sound quality of this mic is way worst than my iPhone! It sounds very sharp and tinny if that's a word and there is a ton of background static noise. I played with the settings and tried cardioid, stereo, omnidirectional and bidirectional and they all had the same background static noise, high pitch tinny voice effect. I don't know if there is a setting I am missing but it truly sounds horrible and unusable. I am going to continue trying to adjust the settings and have record my son as well, to see if maybe its just my voice or if its his as well. I will update this in a week or so.

Very quality
1. All needs met, and at a good price MDrill One is very simple to use. i believe that it will very reliable. I just plug the USB in and it works。This microphone produces nice high quality audio, but it is very very sensitive. It will pick up every sound within a mile. The mic is very useful for those who are using it for podcasting, or talking to people on chats, and for those inspiring musicians and vocalist. Mic can adjust to 4 different styles. sound is very VERY clear compared to those that uses headset with the mic on it. Basically, sounds like you are talking to someone in real life, face to face. Base of the mic is not shock proof so what ever you hit on the table it will be picked up. May need to buy a shock proof stand. Enough of the specs, for me I game, sing vocals, game commentary. For gaming I mean like talking to people. Sounds really good. Only thing for you gamers is that if you have a clicky keyboard, it will slightly be picked up. I use lowest sensitivity on it.

good for the money
this mic is pretty great. The quality of the sound isn't as good as I had thought it would be for how much it cost. The appearance is amazing and the setup is super easy. However its still "okay" when it comes to the sound. Its cleaner than 100 dollar cameras mic. But thats not saying much because the mic on the camera isn't the main dish so its cared for less when making. It is definitely a decent mic but don't get too excited. It isn't gonna be the highest quality one you'll have. Im sure you'll upgrade within a year. But if you read this far it really is a solid nice mic for the money

IF THEIR INDIEGOGO PAGE BROUGHT YOU HERE PLEASE READ
This is NOT the microphone that is advertised on their indegogo page. It is identical but does not come with a noise cancellation feature, if you seen the indiegogo add and looked for one on amazon, (like i did), this is slightly different, the one on their page and website is a "mdrill one PRO" the name on the amazon title might throw you off (like it did me) "mdrill one PROfessional" I have been reassured from the company that this microphone on amazon will not support the 96 khz firmware update and does not have a noise cancellation feature. The mdrill one PRO with those features will only be available for indiegogo backers, there is no where else on the internet (that i can find) that has a product description for the regular mdrill one, only the mdrill one "PRO", very deceiving, and this one has also come down in price from purchasing it 1 month ago, i paid $123 after shipping, just the microphone, no "MIC KIT" which is a bummer because i would of purchased the kit for the price i paid.OVERALL microphone seems very well made very aesthetically pleasing, i use for live streaming and it does sound really good for the price point. I do randomly hear a raspy crackling when i pronounce words with "sh" or "ch" but not every time it might just be me being a little to picky.. There is NO ambient noise cancellation with this microphone. You will be able to hear a mouse fart, that is living in your neighbors basement, no exaggeration. Even with the gain on the lowest setting, you will pick up every noise. but at the end of the day it does sound good and it is plug and play, and OH MY GOD RGB!
