Ok. Long review here...I ordered this L desk through Amazon, and it got returned by the delivery service before I even saw it. Best guess is the package was destroyed. Never figured exactly what happened. Because of the poor reviews I was hesitant to try again, but it fit my room, so I ordered it through Staples, and the store promised if it came damaged, they would help is out. The package came to the store destroyed, but the desk was fine. It is cheap, so we were careful and used wood glue in addition. Moving it from the garage to the office was sketchy, because if it twisted, it would break, but we pulled it off. It looks great, just like the picture. I had very low expectations, but very high hopes. We were able to make it work, and it totally fits the space perfect. It looks like the picture, nothing fancy, but we really like it. Now that it is in place I think it is sturdy enough to last a while. I think it was a risky purchase, so I am really glad Staples took the risk away for us.

It does take a long time to put together, but I don't think it's any longer than anything from Ikea and the directions are pretty straight forward. I was about to be really proud of myself for only making one error (caught it on the next step) when assembling it and then went to put the bottom drawer in and the left hand side isn't very smooth. I unscrewed everything and double checked the directions, but it was done correctly. It just takes a little more effort to pull and push the drawer back in. I also realized that I don't like how the filing cabinet doesn't go front to back but sideways - my error for not realizing that earlier but they could have shortened the trim a bit to make it fit... Overall a good cabinet especially for the price!

The product arrived with broken pieces. Many of the holes were missed drilled. The company shipped me new panels for free, but they did not have notches cut in them for hanging the files. The anti-tip mechanism does not properly lineup. The drawers do open and close, and hold my files, but the whole experience was a giant pain. The product only gets three stars because it was the cheapest filing cabinet that matched my needs.

Though I like the finished product, the assembly process was challenging. Twenty pages of instruction, twenty pieces, fifteen bags of small parts. The second page did not show the ball bearing slide in the correct position. There was enough glue, but barely. A few of the stickers identifying parts came off.

I was very excited when I first ordered this product. I had read many reviews stating that it was difficult to put together, but the product looked sturdy and the quality seemed okay. First off, if you have a little patience and a bit of an understanding of tools, and how they work, you won't have much of an issue assembling this. BUT the company does not make it easy for you.(1) many of the pieces were numbered incorrectly, making it a challenge to match the proper screw to the part.(2) they did not include instructions (although you can find them on the amazon page to print) it wastes a lot of paper and time.(3) one of the cam locks arrived broken so instead of going through the hassle of contacting the company to get a new one I just had to order some online. Again, a waste of time.(4) the heads of 3 of the cam bolts were already stripped, making it very difficult to tighten them by hand.(5) the instructions (although correctly written) are a bit of a mess, thus making the assembly process a bit confusing.All in all, the product has the potential to be very sturdy, but the inefficiency and carelessness of the packaging has deterred me from purchasing from this company again.

For what I paid for this item, it works as I expected - It's a low cost alternative to the more expensive lateral files. It is hard to assemble but my son was able to do it in 2 hours on his own. It does tip over until you fill it. If the tracks aren't installed properly, the drawers won't close all of the way - we adjusted and it works fine. I did not want to spend $500 or more on a file cabinet and this one is also a lateral file so the drawers don't need as much clearance as a regular filing cabinet. It fits in a corner nicely and actually has a nice appearance. Ours shipper delivered completely undamaged. It is heavy, Be careful, because the surface scratches easily. I like it and am pleased because I got the function I wanted for a price I was willing to pay. Don't pay too much for this - look around to get the best deal.

Don't buy this item used! It arrived in deplorable condition with no assembly directions. I had to go to the website to print off the directions. That is a plus for this company. It was quite difficult to assemble..... took at least 4 hrs. Once assembled--which was a miracle--it is a satisfactory file cabinet. I worry that the top drawer will fall if it is filled too full.

Beautiful addition to my office. The look of the file cabinet itself is sleek, clean, and modern. Cabinets slide effortlessly and smoothly. I'm rating 3 stars because the packaging arrived in terrible condition. The box was already opened with parts exposed. Several of the boards were dented and damaged. It's definitely one of those "ORDER AT YOUR OWN RISK" type of ordeal.

Minor damage to paint from the manufacturer. Light weight. Easy enough to assemble. A little rickety for my liking.

Contrary any other product we got from Amazon, we were unfortunately very dissatisfied with this product. Overall, the parts were of poor quality, for the price. The parts were all loose inside the box and the protective foam was broken down. The cabinet had already been assembled by somebody else and the screw holes were already 'used' and some of the screws would not tighten. It is relatively heavy and returning it was a burden. I do not recommend this product.

Poor build quality. Poor quality of lock screws and screws. Most screws become stripped with minimal pressure so you are stuck with many gaps in final product

This is a great piece of furniture, it looks great and it is very sturdy and is definitely doing the job
