Hashtag Authentic: Finding creativity and building a community on Instagram and beyond

I wanted to learn more about selling products on the internet.

This beautifully written book gave me an endless amount of actionable tasks to complete that help me tell my story on social media in a way that is inspiring and engaging. I recommend it to all of my friends who are interested in taking photos and telling stories or sharing ideas on a platform like Instagram. I listen to Sara's podcast, follow her Instagram Account, and plan on attending her InstaRetreat. Really am enjoying this book so far! I just came across it because I love photography but I hate social media. It felt forced to do anything and it has really put me down creatively speaking. This book has made everything a lot more positive for me and I’ve only been reading it for a few days. It’s beautiful photographs and the way she talks so personally like it’s just you and her one on one really helps me relate. I’ve done a few exercises from her first few chapters and I love them. I’m not a book person but this is definitely a great buy.

I've been following Sara Tasker on instagram for years and I love how open she is with sharing what she's learned. This book more than delivers! Loads of helpful info and beautiful photos to boot. Whatever your interest is in instagram - if you're using if for your business or your blog or you just want to post pretty pictures or something in between - you're sure to find an "ah ha" moment in it's pages. Highly recommend.

Beautiful book! Super inspiring and informative. Covers both the visual and technical parts of sharing on instagram. Also worth checking out her Instagram retreats!

I bought this book for a friend of mine. My friend already had this book. I thought I was going to return it, but when it came I was absolutely inspired. Good quality and great inspiration for people who are trying to tell a story through Instagram photos.

...is a lovely book. Whether to get your Instagram game up or just to get back in touch with your creativity and the art of capturing what you see. The book is very well written, flows. The photography is stunning & whimsical and could as well make this book a great coffee table read. A lot of helpful insight and knowledge is shared on getting your instagram to a better reach.

I purchased this book back in January as a small investment for myself and devoured it in one weekend now that school is out I am slowly re-reading it and working my way through the excercises. If you have an interest in creativity, instagram, social media etc or are looking for permission to do your thing, read this book!!!

A great book.

This isn't ground-breaking, and I didn't feel like I really learned anything new, but overall the book would be great for beginners starting out with an Instagram business.

I highly recommend it and am more than happy to review it.Secondly, this is nothing short of a miracle because I have a small stack of 'business help' type books that I've accumulated over the past few years and I'm not usually a fan. I almost never read them in full and I rarely leave reviews.Hashtag Authentic is different.I received my book a few days ago and have read it 3 times over so far - with paper and a pen to make notes.It's the kind of book you'll want to read several times to make sure you get every bit of value out of it that it has to offer.I can't see mine being put away on a bookshelf any time soon.I own a small business and I would say that it is not only useful for Instagram, but for photography, blogging, business branding and all manner of other social media platforms.If you spend any time at all stressing over creating content for Instagram, this is the only book you need to read.It's very different to other books of this type. Not stuffy or boring at all. It's an easy going, enjoyable read with a chatty and accessible tone that will have you relating to the author and laughing on every other page.There's an unbelievable amount of real, actionable advise and solid information packed in here, all broken down into manageable, bite sized sections - sometimes only 2 or 3 pages long, making all the content really easy to understand.It's absolutely full of stunning photographs, simple useful exercises and insights from people with current and successful Instagram accounts, all of which help to illustrate the author's points and help you to plan and style your own account.Covering image planning, styling, photo composition, photography tips, editing, hashtags, captions, stories and so much more.There's something in here for everyone, from beginners starting out with iphone cameras, to more experienced Instagram users who are feeling a bit stuck or uninspired and even professional photographers.You definitely won't regret buying Hashtag Authentic. I didn't want to put it down. It's a beautiful, helpful book from an inspiring author that has brought together an entire creative community. I honestly think this will be the social media resource book of the year.
