Lavender DRY Soda, 12pk

Great drink - Enjoyable, unique flavor!!
I recently discovered this drink and liked the idea of "DRY" soda. I ordered on case of the mixed and found that Rhubarb, Cucumber & Juniper Berry were quite tasty. I also ordered a case of Lavender and Vanilla. The Lavender I liked very much and did find it relaxing at night. The vanilla was a little too sweet for my tastes and did leave an after-taste as the others noted above did not. I would recommend this product, but this company must do something about the shipping costs. HORRIBLE when shipping is more than the actual product, not even if you combo your order, each case is still $17.00 shipping!! Yikes! I guess everything does have its trade-off, but this one is a little too much to swallow.

Refreshing and tasty!
I admit I was a little skeptical when I first saw this on the shelf, but I'm one for trying new things so I decided to go for it. (I had to get past the cost first -- this isn't exactly economical for a soda)It's surprisingly refreshing. It has a nice subtle flavor, and is just like the description says -- "dry". That is, it's not too sweet. My wife and I often drink simple lime seltzer water, occasionally mixing in a splash of lemonade, so this low-sweetness beverage is right up our alley. If only this was priced a bit better, I would switch to buying a few of these flavors as our main beverage!Though I haven't mixed it yet, I could see this being an excellent mixer for a top-shelf gin in place of tonic. I'd recommend Hendricks. (Though, I couldn't see ordering the drink at a bar... "I'll have a gin and lavender please". Not.) I'd bet the cucumber-flavor would be a good gin mixer as well.Bottom line, it's definitely worth a try. Five stars for flavor, minus one for cost / value.

Lavender is a nice, light, floral flavor, though this is Dry's sweetest soda.
Dry Lavender Soda is one of nine flavors offered by the Dry Soda Company, the Seattle-based brainchild of Sharelle Klaus. The company's philosophy is to make "less sweet", all natural sodas that can be consumed on their own, paired with food, or mixed to make cocktails and dessert drinks. All of their sodas contain only 4 ingredients: purified carbonated water, cane sugar, natural extracts, and phosphoric acid. No high fructose corn syrup. The Lavender flavor has 70 calories, 19 grams carbohydrates, 19 grams sugar, and no sodium per 12-ounce (355 mL) bottle. This is Dry's sweetest and most caloric soda, though it is not sweet by conventional soda standards.I was keen to try the Dry Lavender flavor, because I recently discovered that lavender popsicles are tasty and refreshing. I was hoping that lavender soda would be similar. I like Dry Lavender Soda, even though it is noticeably sweeter than other Dry sodas that I've tasted. It isn't too sweet when chilled, but, if the soda warms to room temperature, it is too sweet for my taste. I would describe the flavor as sweet and floral. A little of those goes a long way, but this is a lightly flavored, lightly carbonated soda. The carbonation is more akin to club soda or Perrier than to a traditional soda. I'm glad I discovered lavender, and it`s been nice to find it in a refreshing summer beverage.

Where is the Lavender??
I did not purchase this product through Amazon but rather through Whole Foods store. I paid almost $9.00 for a 4-pack of Dry Lavender Soda. I am a fan of anything floral-flavored. I regularly eat C.Howards Violets candy, shoot a pump of Monin Rose flavored syrup into my tea and head straight for the flowery flavored liquors in the specialty spirits section. I was excited to see this product on the shelf and was ecstatic that a company would "get it" and create something I've had in my dreams for a long time...a floral soda!My expectations of this product was pretty average, I'd say....if it says floral you'd think it would taste somewhat like what it's supposed to...lavender! As much as I tried to like this product, all I could taste was carbonated water, maybe a little sugar, a smidge of citrus and an almonst non-existent hint of ...lavender? I tried sniffing it, swishing it on my palate, cleansing my palate before swigging this wonderful-sounding soda and decanting it to make sure I wasn't missing out on the teensy tiny bit of floral in the soda but all it tastes like is a low-sugar version of 7-up...more refreshing but no floral, whatsoever.I've read the other reviews and some reviewers said they expected this product to taste artificial, or like "soap" which I do not understand. Why would you want to drink something that tastes like soap? All I wanted was a nice, pure, refreshing soda that was indeed, on the dry side (not too sweet) but I also wanted something exotic as its bottle implies - lavender flavored; nothing exotic here. Not even a hint of it.

I LOVE THIS
I LOVE Dry soda and Lavender is my very FAVORITE flavor, or was that Juniper Berry ? NEVER-MIND I LOVE em both. Less sweet is much better this stuff actually quenches your thirst almost as well as regular water and tastes a lot better. NOT soapy in the least. I wish regular soda companies would get a clue from Dry that if you want less calories all you have to do is add less sugar NOT fill it with nasty chemicals.

Delicious unique soda
DRY Soda Lavender soda is delicious. It is a unique soda that is not too sweet. It has great carbonation and a wonderful, subtle lavender flavor that goes well with summer salads and pasta primavera. It is low in calories and very refreshing. If you are used to typical sodas that are extra sugary, though, be prepared for a milder flavor without the sweetness.

Good soda but doesn't have lavender anything
Mmmm, lavender, such an awesome scent. I thought it would be great in soda form but I was sadly disappointed. No traces of lavender in my soda. No soapy taste, no nothing. It tasted like sprite but is less fizzy, less sweet. Love the taste, but I wish it had the scent (especially for the high novelty price tag).On the bright side, it may definitely be my sprite replacement at 70 calories for a 12 fl oz bottle. I also cannot wait to try it with gin. :)
