C.S. Osborne Bag/Oblong Punch Tool 7/8 inch
I received my CS Osbourne oblong punch on time. At my first examination I noticed the punch was not sharp at all, but decided to try it anyway, since it was a top of the line tool made by C.S. Osborn. I tried to use it on a 9 oz belt I was making, it wouldn't even cut it. It only made an indention. It is more dull then a butter knife. I'm very unsatisfied!! And deeply disappointed in this purchase since it was a C.S. Osborn Tool.

Very high quality , much better than the Tandy pro versions. Definitely only punches I will be purchasing from now on.

High quality punch
This is a high quality professional grade punch for leather crafters. It cuts cleanly thru 8-9 Oz hide. You can make larger slots easily by overlapping cuts, say for 2" straps. I am very happy with the performance of this tool.

better then some
comes very dull so be prepared to sharpen it up. but sharping your cutting tools is a very important skill. this will just take a bit to get it nice and sharp but then it is easy to maintain its edge. Mine came with some welds that weren't finished so i worry about its long Gevity but have already made about 12 belts with it with no sing of wear yet.

It works but I was a just a little disappointed
I use it for making holes for straps in leather and rubber soles. Got dull pretty quickly (maybe I shouldn't use it for rubber. I'm not sure. Mine broke. I was attempting to cut a hole in leather sole. I did this on a wooden surface, and perhaps I hit it too hard so it went through the leather and lodged in the wood just a few millimeters. I wiggled it to get it out and the steel broke with the piece remaining lodge in the wood. I was able to pry it out, and solder it back on.

Great quality and sharp!!
Item shipped fast! Promised by the 16th and it arrived on the 11th. The tool itself could have been packaged a little better but that is the only negative. This this is solid!!! Super sharp and makes a perfect clean punch...this has made my new holsters look even better!!

Punch Arrived Too Dull to Use
The punch arrived so dull that it would only leave an oblong crease in the leather. I actually broke one of my leather working mauls trying to hit it hard enough to punch through the leather. I would expect this kind of garbage from a $10 punch from China, but not after paying over $70 from a U.S. company.
