Confirmed Copper core + flexible silicone. Good buy.
Very good. Nice length of very soft and flexible silicon covered, tinned copper stranded cable (joined together but easily separated with no effort or damage). I confirmed this IS copper and not Aluminium by using the “Flame test”, and also stripping the cable and sanding off the tinning until the copper was exposed. Copper confirmed! Would I buy again... yes Would I recommend to friends and family... yes Thanks for taking the time to read, I hope some info was of help.

Worth 5 stars but......................
Good cable, very flexible and easily separated for single lengths and it comes on a neat little reel. However, as others have noted, this is essentially 20 metres of twin cable and not the misleading 40 metres as stated. Having said that, I think it unfair to rate this as 1 star because of the length issue. The headline does state '40 Meter Reel (Black 20 M, Red 20 M)'. For DIY and hobby purposes, I would rate this as low voltage usage, say 12 volts or less and is ideal for automobile wiring but taking into account the 7.5 amps current capacity.

Just what I wanted
Arrived on time and as advertised. I needed some tinned wire to replace some automotive cables in my boat. Very soft and flexible, easy to work with. It came in the right sizes feels for my needs.

Wennn hohe Flexibilität und Bruchfestigkeit gefragt sind, kommt man um diese feindrähtigen Litzen mit Silikonmantel nicht vorbei. Die hohe Temperaturbeständigkeit ist noch ein ganz anderes Feature, was in wohl auch den Preis rechtfertigt. Natürlich lässt sich Silikon nicht einfach so mit Isolierband abkleben. Ohne Primer Behandlung ist Silikon nicht klebbar. Allerdings kann man mit Elastosil (E43) oder Bausilikon dichtende und gut klebende Verbindungen schaffen, wenn das gebraucht wird (z.B. unter Zugentlastungselementen). Vorsicht, beim Trennen (Auseinanderziehen) der Zwillingsasleitung. Es besteht die Gefahr, dass der Mantel aufgerissen wird, was mir beim 16er AWG passiert ist. Ansonsten ein Top Produkt, dass eigentlich noch preisgünstig ist.
