One of the best Gamecube Adapters on the market
Recently tried to use an old adapter and found out that Nintendo broke all 3rd party adapters post update 19.0.0. MAYFLASH is one of, if not the only, company that continues to update their product firmware to support their existing products and support their customers. The MAYFLASH adapter is plug and play, it just works without any extra steps required besides flipping the switch to the correctly labeled mode. The length of the cable is also surprisingly long which is nice for routing it on a desk if you plan to use it for PC gaming too. The entire thing is plastic and it doesn't have any grippy feet on it so it has the potential to slide around, but for the price you can't really beat the reliability and support from the company. If it bothers you too much, just pick up some stick on silicone feet and call it a day.

Whether it's Smash, Nintendont, or PC emulation, Mayflash has you covered, and then some!
I used to have the old mayflash adapter for PC in 2012 which only supported two controllers and SOME rumble compatibility, and didn't work for Smash. This one is much nicer in almost every aspect, including shape/size, build quality, and compatibility. I bought this with the intention of testing "Nintendont" (a home brew application that works on the Virtual Wii side of WiiU that can play NGC titles via USB/SD) as the software declares working with the Nintendo adapter for the most recent Smash title. This one has a switch that allows the change between WiiU and PC modes, which I assume means the old one needed hardware to work on the console, which it did not. I first tried this at a friends house with a copy of smash. Worked fine, no lag as we could tell, and no input errors/ghosting. Cord length is also well above average. Smash fans, rejoice. A cheaper and just as good option exists! Second, I tried it with the homebrew software "Nintendont", seeing if it worked on the virtual version. I nearly inserted my actual GameCube disc since I was excited by the clean results in smash, which would have been bad (no, GameCube discs will not work and may damage your WiiU. Please do NOT try that.) The menu immediately picked up the controller like it did in the original Wii. I booted up the ISO for Kirby Air Ride and was met with excellent results. No input lag or ghosting. Now for the real precision test, I used F-Zero GX, notorious for being very sensetive to stick input and is highly customizable for dead zones, sensitivity, range, etc. I mapped the stick to the fullest and smallest ranges/zones I could and they were pixel perfect as with the Wii disc reader, and the good old GameCube itself. I was convinced at that point at how well it works. Final testing was done with Dolphin for Windows. I was met with the same results using the same titles as it was on the WiiU. Finally, quality rumble support! I didn't have to map anything in the version I used as it already had a preset for a real GameCube pad. However, if your version doesn't pick up the pad on its own, make sure you map the triggers separately from the analog sliders to the click button when you press it all the way down. Otherwise games like Metroid Prime will have issues when locking and free aiming. To do this, go to the controller properties in devices and printers and look at the red icons lighting up to see what numbers they are. In the end, I have to hand it to the developers at Mayflash. Product quality is definitely increasing at excellent prices. 5/5, I really cannot knock it for anything.

Best way to play Melee on pc
Works great as an adapter, a little cheap feeling but also there isn’t much to it so maybe it’s just because it lightweight. Works good and was the easiest way to play Melee on pc for me.

Hey; it works!!
Genuinely glad I bought this thing. The instructions for plugging everything in, while they might seem a bit jarring at first, isn't actually that far-fetched. Making sure the switch on the back is set to the appropriate mode for the device you're trying to connect it to AND that all controller ports are empty, smack the black USB dongle into the device, wait a few seconds, and then start plugging controllers in. The white USB is for rumble, which does work natively on Switch (no idea about Wii U, didn't bother booting up Sm4sh) but will require certain software to work on PC. Input works almost flawlessly for both PC and Switch. Playing GameCube games and even non-GC games on emulators work really well with this adapter (just make sure you set the right player to use the right port: Player 1 should use port 0, player 2 port 1 and so on), and using it to play games on Steam works wonderfully. It even works with standalone games that have native controller support, albeit the controls might be mapped unusually since who the heck programs for a GameCube controller to be used in games these days?? No input lag at all for PC shenanigans. The L and R buttons (triggers, if you will), Control Stick and C-stick all mapped pretty sketchily in emulator and Steam for me, but this is likely due to the controllers I used being old and well-played with. Your controllers may have no issues here at all! However... There IS a very slight amount of input lag when playing on Switch, but for casual play it's nothing you can't acclimate to. If you're buying this for competitive purposes, you might want to look into other options. It also functions with both the original wired GC controllers and the incredible Wavebird controllers, though for the latter you're probably going to want to set the adapter on something roughly the same size like a book or a few game cases, otherwise the receivers for those wireless controllers won't let it sit flat. I'm sure it works with other 3rd party GC controllers too. Other than that, absolutely worthwhile purchase to get some more use out of those old controllers you might have laying around. Just maybe don't try using it for games on a console that demand fast inputs and faster reactions (Smash, maybe Windjammers, mostly fighting games lol, etc.) No issues with ports not registering a controller, ports sending "ghost" inputs, or inputs holding (outside of old Wavebird connectivity being wonky and well, old). If you do experience these things, I highly recommend you return the faulty product and try to get a new one. This thing CAN work, and boy does it when it does.

Got the job done
I had to elicit some Chat GPT help to get this working, but in the end it worked fine and did the job.

Great product at a cheap price
Very easy to setup and use. I bought this for use with my Lenovo Legion Go S (SteamOS) and works perfectly! Setup in seconds! Great value for money at this price! No input lag that i can tell. Seems to be built well enough although the switch feels a little cheap but I am nit picking. Works fantastically well. Reccomended

The mayflash gc adapter isn't just the best alternative to nintendo's 1st party adapter
The mayflash gc adapter isn't just the best alternative to nintendo's 1st party adapter, but in most areas: it's actually better. For about the same price as the nintendo adapter, the mayflash adapter not only gives you full wii u compatibility (and with pc software related to the wii u adapter like the wii emulator dolphin) but also pc compatibility built right into the hardware. With the literal flick of the switch on the back of the unit it allows the adapter to either be a gamecube adapter for use with the wii u or a regular usb device allowing you to use your gamecube controllers in any game that natively supports gamepad configuration. My only main gripes with the device is the generic "GameCube Controller Adapter for Wii U and PC USB" printed on the top and the slightly tilted adapter ports. While the adapter has worked flawlessly over the past few weeks of me owning it and repeatably plugging and removing controllers from the ports you will still notice that slight tilt, adding to the idea of this just being a cheap clone. Testing the adapter in both wii u mode and pc mode has shown there is no noticable delay in player input (atleast no more than the official nintendo adapter). If you don't care for visual aesthetics and just want a gamecube adapter (and then some) there's no reason not to buy this. Whether or not you'll be using this for your wii u or pc the mayflash adapter is superior to both the official nintendo adapter because of this clone's availability, price and functions but also better than any gamecube usb converter you can buy for your pc (even better than the other mayflash gamecube-to-pc converters) because this adapter has virtually no input delay when compared to the others.

Cumple y es bueno
Puedes requerir firmware/software adicional, que puede llegar a ser confuso de conseguir en el sitio del fabricante, sin embargo yo que lo probé en PC, funciona a la perfección
