What are the differences between the standard version and party deluxe version?

Ehhh its really minor stuff and unnecessary. Party hats and tiny additions like that. No expansions or anything like that. That's how every deluxe game works. Just comes with little extras that are not worth the mark up price most of the time. I went with the standard version when it was being sold for 36 dollars.

Are you in control of the Sim using the joy sticks? Or do they only move when you assign task?

They only move when you assign a task, I a point and click type way. But they can also move on their own if you have free will enabled

Anyone else give up before they started building? my sim almost peed her pants before i could even click the toilet. controls are so frustrating!

I found the controls on the ps4 are easy to navigate.

Does it differ from the pc version

No. Its exactly a copy/paste of the PC version to the point that the menu is really messed up because it acts as if you need a mouse to move and click. Don't buy this game.
