Worst griddle I ever seen
This griddle, claimed by the vendor as "high quality", turned out to be a worst griddle I ever seen: The surfaces (both sides) are rough like sanding paper, and it is not truly seasoned at all. Frankly, it is only a semi-finished product at its best. Not only so. The worst thing of the worst is the vendor policy: While I paid the product for $26.99, plus a whopping shipping charge $18.84 (compared to what the product price is), for a total purchase price $45.83, when I requested return for refund, the vendor insisted that I have to pay return shipping as well, another $13, and the vendor refused to refund any of these shipping fees! What a clever vendor policy: it guarantees the vendor to make money no matter what kind low quality products it sells, and customers bear all the risk and cost!Amazon customer service rep is still helping me to resolve this sipping issue with the vendor. I hope it will reach a good result. At the same time, I ordered Lodge Logic griddles (3 of them) instead. I hope this vendor should take a hard look at their griddle and the one from Lodge Logic. Only so they will know what a "high quality" griddle really means.

Fair
Quality of product is very poor. Hoping that after seasoning and using over time I will have a decent griddle. This is the only griddle that actually fits on my gas stove. The size is perfect.

Decent griddle; lousy grill.
A decent griddle. Lots of usable surface area. Relatively thin and light.Fails as a grill pan. Ribs are WAY too shallow and wide to produce good grill marks OR to raise food out of accumulated oil. No reservoir.

Best Sized Griddle I Have Found
This griddle is much more generous in size than any other griddle I have found. The placement of the handles provides a good compromise of cooking surface to handle.Since it lacks that grease channel that most other griddles have, you gain that in usable cooking surface. You don't need a lot of grease to keep foods from sticking to cast iron, particularly the griddle side. Also, other griddles have a slight slope to them for that grease to drain toward the grease well . . . which means, lopsided pancakes. The grill side is also more evenly spaced than other griddles and makes for great panini sandwiches. The preseasoning was acceptable, but all cast iron gets better with age and more seasoning. All in all, a great griddle/grill and great price. I use it almost daily. Only regrets are that it's not a little bigger to fit better over electric burners and that it's not an American made product.
