Does the job, but runs tighter than older HJC helmets.
I'm a safety instructor and this is my "range" helmet for demo rides. Off and on several times a day in blazing sun or pouring rain. It does that job well. However, it is a $140 DOT helmet. It's not a higher end helmet. At highway speeds, the helmet is noisy (ear plugs are necessary) and the interior padding is firm vs plush. The internal visor works with prescription eyeglasses.Surprisingly, the helmet isn't very aerodynamic........I notice more drag on my head than with my older high end helmets. If you don't need a modular helmet, I would consider the similarly priced HJC CL-17 full-face helmet. It may be quieter (i.e., fewer gaps) and carries a Snell certification.

Sizing problem.
I bought this as a back up for my Neotec. Even though the sizing chart is same for this helmet and Neotec, the fitting is noticeably much smaller. I am going to wear a for a few days and see if there is any break in happening, if not then the sizing chart can't really be trusted. (I used my measurement and actually went size up.)

Dissapointed in HJC
Hoped to adjust the fit with swapping out the cheek pads but apparently HJC in unable to manufacture and provide them. Suggest buying a different brand unless you are 100% sure of the fit in advance.

HJC helmets
I've used HJC helmets for over 20 years. They fit my head shape well when others do not.

Exact replacement
This item replaced one that saved me during an accident. Highly recommend this unit. Not the lightest. Showed very little damage after my wreck. You can’t go wrong with this helmet.

Great helmet for the price
Heavier than my bell star helmet but what do you expect from a helmet for a hundred fifty bucks compared to 600? I really enjoy the modular design and was initially repulsed by it. The tinted sunscreen is very nice. I am going to modify the nose slot so that I can bring it all the way down. I got a small helmet and I know that HJC only makes one size shell. That means more padding for my Noggin'. It does look a little goofy but fashion and safety quite often don't coincide. I always laugh at those people wearing the "members only" leather jackets that can't be even a millimeter thick. I guess they look cool but they totally don't look hetro to me. Lol!
