the pills are supposed to be collected in the plastic base. The design is such that if you turn it around (so, for example, travel with it anywhere), the small pieces of pill will fall out. Because prescription medicine is poisonous to most cats/dogs/children, this is not safe. For the price, this is a basic design error.

Ok if you just want to split a large tablet to take the whole one.
This item did not split tablets exactly in half which was no Good if you had to take half a tablet only. After breaking edges were left sharp and would scratch in the throat. Not good.

Not very accurate
It can be a bit stiff to open. In my experience it is not very accurate. When cutting a small pill in half it looks more like 2/3rds and a 1/3rd. Wouldn’t like to try quartering a small pill with this.

Do work well with tiny pills
My cat has to take half a pill in the morning and another half at night. The pills are teeny tiny. This cutter do the job well. I just push the pill until it stop, it will against the "V" snugly while it was being cut. If you have small pills this one is suitable for you.

einfach zu benutzen
Diese Tablettenschneider ist sehr einfach zu benutzen. Alle grosse Tabletten kann verkleinen machen. Ich brauche keine Sorgen mehr, der Sohn ganze Tablett zu schlucken. Zwar der Farbe ist auch sehr schön.

Corta muy bien las pastillas, incluso las más pequeñas. Muy útil y recomendable y fácil de llevar.

Efficiente
E' in grado di spezzare compresse di vario spessore a metà e in quarti anche se quelle di maggior spessore non riesce a tagliarle bene in quarti ma solo a metà. Divide a metà pastiglie piccolissime. Io mi trovo decisamente bene, comodissimo, inizialmente ho dovuto capire come fosse meglio posizionarle e che andava premuto con delicatezza ma decisione.
