SELFCHECK Bowel FIT Type Health Test

very easy to use, did help put my mind at easy while i was waiting for a gp appointment and the nhs one that was sent away was clear also. I do however recommend no matter if the result is normal you still do tests through the GP/NHS as its good to make sure its 100%. I only did this as was waiting 2 weeks for gp appointment

I used this test along side the NHS bowel screening test, for peace of mind, rather than having to wait 2 weeks for the result. Both tests, fortunately, were negative. I found the FIT test fairly easy to use, I didn’t collect samples over 3 days as it advises in the notes, collecting one sample was bad enough! You have to wait exactly 10 minutes for the results, which is quite tense, but the result was very clear. I would definitely use it again.

I'm not sure how to feel. I done this test and it came back positive. Literally in 5 minutes two pink lines, and i only doing the sample for one day not 3 like suggested.I went to GP about the positive test and they said they won't accept private tests and I had to do one of the NHS ones.. which came back negative.. so now what. How often is this test a false positive?

This test is good, A fit test was done at the doctors also for a family member both came back negative, so according to the fit test and this test we had the same results

I've used this SelfCheck kit in previous years and it worked as expected. The latest one I bought is a different design and now requires 3 days of samples - to be kept in the fridge between uses!On the third day, following the instructions precisely, I put 5 drops into the sample well of the test cassette and waited 10 minutes. Nothing. Not even a control line. The liquid just stayed in the sample well without being absorbed.The whole thing was a waste of time and money and I will not be using this brand again.

Liked the step by step process and pictures to help follow the correct steps to use.If as reliable as stated in reviews then would purchase again.Unable to say if accurate (happily it showed a negative result ) if had been positive would needed as advised in instructions to go to doctor for further tests.But as a “ self test “ kit it seems a trustworthy well produced kit.
